Perhaps a different tactic has had to be adopted rather than getting the players in early as Gus had hoped for. With it being a world cup year perhaps a more long game approach is more realistic - get a few moves through and see what players it free's up. What if we spent our cash and Borini then became available and the mags stepped in? Lets see what happens.

This sounds right to me. We`ve seen Bruce dive in wallet first & we`ve been ripped off. DiFanti splurged & we`re busy getting rid of his signings. I reckon Ellis, Gus & Congerton are more `together` and looking to do better, sensible business. Don`t know why I get that impression though. It just seems like it.
