http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-Swansea-City-Gylfi-Sigurdsson-in-return.html Now Spurs really are taking the piss. Here is another one regarding Montero. http://www.caughtoffside.com/2014/0...ansea-city-close-in-on-bargain-world-cup-star
So they want 2 people we rate and would like to keep for a player they cant wait to gt rid of. If I was hJ they would be told to go and do one.
Simplifies the maths, Trunds. I would value Ben at £12 million (that's minimum considering the benchmark valuation of Shaw). Vorm has to be worth £4/5 million. Spurs paid £8 million for Siggy and in no way do his appearances/performances warrant a now asking price of £10 million. So for me, Ben and Vorm worth £16 million (absolute minimum) whilst Siggy is worth £8 million. Even if we paid the full price for Siggy that leaves Spurs owing us £6 million on the deal. I don't know if Levy thinks he's dealing with country bumpkins who came down with last night's rain, or what, but I'd tell the arsehole to go and do one unless he agreed to that - and he'd still be getting a good deal.
We dont really need gylfi but we do need Vorm & Ben......Spurs are underestimating monks ability in knowing a good deal or not. Why would we want a player they don't want for two of our players that we do want...
Dai, just hope HJ and GM, get this one right and dont let a big club walk over us. I am sure they wont.
well they have done well so far and i bet the pair are laughing their heads off at spurs proposal....
I see ince has decided that Hull is a better prospect than Milan. Still not a bad signing for them. Carries the baggage of daddy. Did he play at Man utd with bruce.
Some great photos of the lads in Chicago on Facebook. they have had their first training session already, Monk don't believe in wasting any time
Swansea clinch £4m transfer of Jefferson Montero after winger impresses at World Cup Jul 06, 2014 22:30 By Alan Nixon West Ham and Sunderland also moved for the Ecuador star in recent weeks but it's the Swans who will meet his Mexican club's valuation Julian FinneyJazzy Jeff: Ecuador international Montero is all set for a move from Mexico to Swansea Swansea have won the £4million race for Ecuadorâs World Cup left winger Jefferson Montero. The Welsh club are willing to meet the asking price of Mexican side Monarcas for their pacey wide-man after he picked them as his ideal move. Montero was approached by the Swans along with West Ham and Sunderland during the past few weeks - and while he was in Brazil. Now winger Montero has told Monarcas he wants to go to Swansea because he thinks their style will suit him. Montero - who speaks good English - has been linked with Premier League moves for years but now has his chance. The winger is close pals with countryman and Manchester United midfielder Antonio Valencia and comes with a big reputation.
Montero chose the swans as his ideal club to join in the premiership over the other clubs who were keen to sign him it has been reported, The mighty swans are in line to win the race to sign two more players in the next week. .....things are looking great so far and puts to bed the myth that monk dont have any pulling power or contacts in football.
Guess this means Hernandez is on his way out, from the Spanish lot, shame I thought he improved after Laudrup
