Think its very hard to judge considering we haven't seen any of them play in a Gills shirt yet. You probably should have waited until November to ask this. But to answer your question.... Stuart Nelson.
I've voted for John Egan on the strength of the reported interest in him from Blackburn & Huddersfield. If that is true, we might have a potential top class player on our hands there, and in a position that we need to strengthen. We might just be selling him on in a few years for a tidy sum. But agree with The GPL, impossible to tell before they've kicked a ball in anger for us. Also agree that retaining Stuart Nelson is a very tidy piece of business.
Allow me to rephrase then, who do you think will be the best signing of the summer. I know it is impossible to say who will actually be but based on what you have seen of the new signings if that be through seeing them play live in person or on TV or what you have read which one of the current 8 is your personal pick to make the best impression. I'm sure this will be revisited around October but for now I thought this may titillate your footballing taste buds so to speak.
Actually, will be good to revisit this thread a few times during the season. The good thing is, pretty much all of them names have the potential to be the best signing.

I am pleased with all the signings and for me Dickenson appears to stand out, but at this moment I think Loft is the pick of the signings because he has played at this level and I think his experience will be vital in bringing the best out of the less experienced players
