Serious topic here, and a horrendous crime that has quite rightly been punished. However, as is almost always the way on this board, the serious situations that are discussed in 'OT' threads are often written about with a degree of humour. I'm pretty sure it's not done to belittle the subject being discussed, or cause any offence.

 

Here's a first. Making a claim of *****phillia based on a joke about Vanessa Feltz

Well it certainly wont be the life you lead if anything by your sick humour? Perhaps you can tell the local cop shop after I forward your sick pervert posts to them?

 

What gets me with cases such as this is the plethora of stories that come out after conviction.

There are those that go into as much salacious detail as they can about the perpetrator's crimes - which millions seem to get some sort of kick out of reading.

There are the new, unproven allegations that appear and are instantly treated as fact because of the previous conviction ... more salacious details and a cheque for the "abused".

Then there is the celebrity publicity tie-in, where various celebs (former and current) jump on the bandwagon with their own stories and are repaid with a cheque and a nice bit of publicity.

All of this just seems to devalue the crimes and the real victims of those crimes. It all becomes a circus which far too many people are willing to gawp at.

 

The list of sexual abuse is bound to rise as British press culture now has a new direction to go down. They are all at it? The Royal Family and Cliff Richard next? ... Wait until they look into old rock and rock stars? that's next ... Bay City Rollers? all those young teenagers

Mary Whitehouse was right all along. England is full of it sexual perverts everywhere ... We love it, Looking and gawping at it and more importantly moaning about it ... while this grubby little island allows and invites young people to grow up too early and then wonders why the sick them feeds off them.

Tie my kangaroo down mate ... If you find or witness anyone taking away any innocence then smash and smash hard ... moaning and gawping about a poxy TV celebrity makes me sick ... when it happens on a daily basis world wide ... Each human should step in if they see anything IMO

Distinct overreaction mate. As Dave said, these issues are generally dealt with a degree of humour on this forum, of course that doesn’t mean that you have to find what is written funny.

Your suggestion that a fellow poster on here has a computer full of child images is totally unwarranted, are you man enough to retract it?

I considered the possibility that this might turn into an unhelpful thread but I thought it was a point of interest ie that there are plenty of non celeb groppers who will never be brought to book because of their relative anonymity.

I must state that had I know that Rolf (allegedly) had kiddy porn on his computer, I don't think I would have started this thread.

So, I'm happy to leave it there and ask the mods to symbolically close the thread if they see fit.

 

What a horrible grubby little post that was. It is a very British thing to find humor in the darkest of places. It helps our fine people of this great country deal with issues. Nothing posted here in any way detracts from the seriousness of the issue, except that is, your frankly vile suggestion about another poster.
