I don't think either Cech or Courtois would want (or should) play as #2 keepers. My guess would be that Courtois joins Chelsea - with the possible sale of Cech to Athletico
Neither are number 2 keepers but can't see us just giving Courtois the number 1. He's been brilliant and no reason to suggest he wont hit the ground running but he may struggle early on and it would be useful to have Cech around as well. If in a years time Courtois is the undisputed number 1, Cech will probably want to leave and he'll do so with the clubs blessing IMO. So in short, I think both will be at Chelsea next year.
Courtois only has 2 years left on his Chelsea contract. Dont see him signing a new one unless he is guaranteed games next season.
I agree and the club has a problem. Just can't see us letting such a legend and still top class keeper in Cech go this year to accommodate a guy whose yet to play 1 minute for us or in the P.L. Personally I'd keep Petr but start the season with Courtois. If he's doing well, offer him a new deal around Jan (If he's not signed one already).
The sporting director of Monaco has come out and said they aren't signing Valdes cos of a serious knee injury he has. That means they will be on the hunt for another world-class GK, which looks like it could be Petr.

Cech's agent has confirmed I think that both French clubs have been in contact but he doesn't think Cech will be leaving.
Just heard that Lukaku is going on yet another season-long loan this time to Athletico Madrid. What does this guy have to do to break into your first team. I thought last year he was better than what you had up front yet it seems mourinho doesnt rate him

I don't get why people think it's Mourinho and Chelsea's fault? The guy has a major superiority complex. He thinks he's a lot better than he is. If he wants to leave the club he claimed to 'support' because he isn't number 1 then he can **** right off. Last season HE wanted to go out on loan because we signed Eto'o, it wasn't just Jose's choice.

But for me will lack a natural lefty since Mata left. I know we have Salah but I don't think he is in that world class bracket. I'd be happy if we signed Rodriguez if Oscar was to go. Most likely James ends up at Madrid.

Lot of talk that Liverpool have met a 20M release clause for Lazar Markovic. But there is rumours we have a deal breaker that would let us sign him for 12M after we struck a deal to let him sign for Benfica. A deal worth taking I reckon, could make an easy 10M doing nothing.
I'm just saying if the guy is available for £12M exclusively to us but is valued at £20-25M, then why are we not taking the option and making some cash.
