I agree with this. I may have over reacted earlier, but it is starting to annoy me now.

Cork is great and not many like him around BUT as good as Schneiderlin??? On his day maybe but over a sustained period Morgan is an awesome player.

Now we can suddenly keep a disgruntled player, but we couldn't keep Lallana?

I agree that Schneiderlin's better, I just don't think that there's a huge gulf in quality. Cork and Wanyama played well together too.

Didn't Morgan say something recently along the lines of him never forcing a transfer? Could swear I remember something like that. Now I know we have been fed a lot of bullshit lately, spewing forth from a few of our players, but I really do want to believe Morgan on this!

So if it's true, then we can say to him listen Sir, we really need you to stay on another season or so, and expect him to not kick up a fuss like a few seemed to have done.

He's French. Much more patient and relaxed than the others. A certain flair and 'je nai se quoi'. More mature, more intelligent than most of the others. I expect he would be more likely to tell the board what he wants now and terms of it etc.

Along the lines of I will stay here and play my heart out but I would like to be allowed to leave if a certain pedigree of club cam e in with the right offer suitable to both of us. I expect if the club try to 'extend' or 'improve' his contract he would ask to have a realistic release clause added. I don't think he'll be here forever. Maybe a year, maybe 2, or maybe the board will think lets just make a clean sweep now and let RK build the side from scratch. We shall see :)

On the other hand French are more prone to striking for any reason that they see fit so we should try and force the sale ourselves. lol

Did Lovren say he would never force a transfer? I never saw that one, but maybe he did.

Possibly not those exact words, but something like 'if the club don't want to sell me I won't go' I think.

Yep. Admittedly him saying he would never force anything was before all this recent madness (still not that long ago though), and the most recent thing he has said publicly was along the lines of - the club know my thoughts on what I want to do.

But, like you say, I'd expect Morgan to be more mature and pragmatic, and not throw his toys out of the pram. However, with what we have been treated to lately, nothing will surprise me any more!

What percentage of EPL players do you think really play for the badge. There have been one or two articles for assou-ekotu where he basically said he was in it for the money, it's a career etc - at least he was honest.

    Love the strike comment!

Maybe the fact there isn't an international tournament next summer and recent call up will help us with this one. I met Morgan at do a couple of years back and he did seem like a genuinely nice fella.

Under normal circumstances I'd drive Lovren to Liverpool myself for that kind of money. However, I'm starting to get pretty worried that this high turnover of players is going to see us relegated. You can't change the spine of the team and expect to get away with it. For me, it's imperative we keep Lovren and Schneiderlin.

Not bothered about Lovren anymore. It appears that we can make a massive profit on him and I'm convinced we can replace him with someone as good and a lot cheaper.

Schneiderin though, really worries me. I think that he is the player we must keep. Cork, Wanyama and Schneiderlin is a midfield that would be among the best in the Premier League. If we can add a bit of pace and creativity then we are still in the mix.
