    Good Morning Everyone,

    How are we?

Hold the back page, we've made a signing!!!

33 yo keeper Stuart Taylor has signed a one year contract. We can expect him to warm the bench for the majority of the season!

But who will be playing between the sticks?

One thing for sure, it won't be Paddy Kenny!!!

The 36 yo heavyweight has been sacked by our head headed Italian friend. Several rumours are doing the rounds saying its because he was born on the 17th of the month. Surely its because he's overweight, unfit, not very good and it paid £10,000 a week?

Thank goodness McCormack was born on the 18th, we wouldn't want to see him go.... or do we?

The fact that we have signed someone, does this mean that our transfer embargo has been lifted?

Morning Elland and all. This is some clearance job Cellino is undertaking eh? One thing is for sure, whatever players at the club come August, will be under no illusion that any kind of slacking won't be tolerated. The man is clearly ruthless and is exactly what we needed. Last season, particularly after xmas, we had a squad that apart from being poor, were overpaid and couldn't give a damn. Just collect the fat pay cheques. Saw a supposed quote yesterday from Cellino telling fans to wait till first game of season before complaining. Not sure if it was a genuine comment but certainly what we need to do

A very good morning to you Eire, I'm loving the clearance job. I wonder who will leave next? Could it be Norris, Poleon, White or maybe all three???

Morning all, the stuff about Kenny and 17 is just journalistic rubbish, we all know why he was sacked and glad about it too!

I thought the embargo covered bringing in any players regardless of free or not, so maybe it has finally been lifted? Fingers crossed because with this amazing clear out Cellino is doing we need some players in

Morning all from a very sunny Andover. First day back at work this week and its lovely outsdie <grr>

I hope to god that Taylor has been brought in as a reserve, he has hardly played. Theres a level of doubt around everything at the club and we really need some signings in to gauge what the seasons going to be like. One thing is clear, the wage bill has been reduced greatly!

Good morning, a sunny day and off out with the wife on an outing

I am doing what Cellino (May have) said, waiting to see what we look like at season start, in fact I am so reasonable I'll give it longer, won't form a final opinion unto near Christmas, unless it's so obvious a blind hippo couldn't miss it

I am good on almost anyone leaving, apart from about 5 or 6 (Ross being one but can't be helped if that happens). It's what comes in that both interests me and worries me. We will see!

Beck ham sounds exactly the young low paid guy with no pretensions and expectations we need - wonder what that's about?

You know what, all the waffle we've read down through the years from owners and managers, this is the most refreshing one, especially knowing he means it and will act on it

Cellino is a breath of fresh air in the club, the staff and players there shall be under no illusions of what he demands from them, dedication, hard work and results, i am now starting to get a good feeling of what could be our turning point at long last.

Yes it is for now but give it 12 months and we lose out on some big signings because we can't compete with the wages other teams are offering will we be feeling the same?.... Yes it would seem our players were greatly over paid, it is refreshing at the moment because we are basing their value on where we finished and how we perfromed. If you want the best you have to pay for them and if they are good and feel that they deserve more we will lose them.

Agreed, but up until now we were paying top wages for the division and only attracting ****. Ive said for years we should have been scouting on the continent. No value to be had with British players whatsoever

With the supposed blend of Italian experience that Cellino knows about, and our youth pushing the first team it could work, or it could be awful so I'm with Glory on giving it some time. One thing I do hope is that the "experience" aren't given Warnockesque 3 year high paying contracts as thats what got us into this mess in the first place. Imagine what it will be like if we can actually compete on wages because we don't have deadwood taking them all up

Looks like Fatty Kenny has left so we can open the again!I think the embargo will be lifted very soon and then we can judge what quality we are attracting to the club
Norris Poleon maybe Morison White will all be looking over their shoulder
Talking about looking I am looking forward to our meet up tomorrow to watch France v Germany I will be there about 4.45pm

Sorry I hadn';t finished my spiel Maccormack will be sold on very soon I'm sure and unlike BATES the money will be invested in the squad I hope!
Finally a thought have we any fixtures on the 17 because Cellino will want to move them to another date!
Naylor will just sit on the bench apart from cup ties

What part is the breath of fresh air?

The McDonut firing and re-hiring stunt that made you a laughing stock?
Bringing in a new coach that crashed and burned in non league making you a laughing stock?
Saying the 1st thing he was going to do was go to the bank and buy the ground and training ground back - then not doing it and making you a laughing stock?
Sacking lots of loyal staff, club captain wanting out, training ground closed, transfer embargo, winding up orders, needless court cases, fans unable to buy season tickets online, no kitman or canteen, given his 2 juvenile delinquent sons places on the board, players morale at all time low, sacking players because of their date of birth, going back on deals with other clubs re committed transfers, etc etc etc - I see what you mean arabweed <laugh>
