Hasn't ruined it one little bit for me ... been the best World Cup for a long long time ... funnily enough he didn't ruin the last one for me either ... I thought the last one was pretty **** tbf ... England were complete dogshite and if that wasn't bad enough the Dutch philosophy to combat tiki-iaka with mixed martial arts made it the most disappointing final I've seen in a lifetime ... What did Suarez do that ruined it for you?
I would imagine he is talking about this: Notice the salt rubbing action of staying on the touchline and the classless action of cheering when they miss the penalty. A-hole!
Not being funny but if JT or Lamps had done the same to get us past the Germans at the same stage I suspect the majority of England fans (particularly Chelsea ones) would have been lauding the selfless sacrifice of a guy 'taking one for the team' knowing that it would mean him missing the next game etc ... what Suarez did there was instinctive and certainly the majority of pros would have done the same ... Ghana still had the opportunity to convert the penalty - that they didn't is down to them rather than blaming it on Suarez ... where do we draw the line? Robben just simulated a penalty against Mexico then had the front to watch Huntelaar convert it and then a complete lack of class by celebrating the resultant win that ultimately was won by 'cheating' ?
Luis Suarez: Barcelona talks productive, say Liverpool http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28112887
I think the bridges have been burned and it will be best for all parties if Suarez moves - he would get no end of stick from the British press and fans generally should he stay whereas in Spain he will be worshiped for his footballing ability by all but Real Madrid fans and the biting thing won't be seen as worthy of any coverage in the press - nor will his every move in his social life be under extreme scrutiny - in fact, the ssad irony, is that we will still probably hear more of what he does in non-footballing terms here as you can bet our red tops won't be content to let him just get on with it over there . From a Liverpool perspective a deal made up of a player swap for Alexis Sanchez plus significant cash seems excellent business from an outsider's perspective ... for me Sanchez would be the top close season signing to date ... Lallana and Shaw both gone for hugely inflated premiums because they are English and Fabregas not wanted by Arsenal speaks volumes ... he'll still be very good mind but Wenger fels he now has better players at the Emirates already ...
It wasnt so much the handball as the cheering on the touchline when he shouldnt have even been out there, he was supposed to go down the tunnel. Its left a sour taste in peoples mouths. And I doubt many, if any, England players would do something like that
This. He is not magnanimous at all. See gloating after scoring v England on my sig. He soon fell on his own sword after that one
... you are kidding surely? ... holding up English (British) players as paragons of virtue - whatever next John Terry .. has no qualms bedding his team mate's (wasn't Bridge supposedly also his best mate?) missus, nor racially abusing the brother of his international defensive partner Ashley Cole - Cheryl Cole (enough said) Ryan Giggs - keeping it in the family (literally) ... but at least they would have the decency not to applaud a penalty save that takes them through to a World Cup semi-final??? ... I'm actually surprised that JT didn't run on in a Urugyan goalkeeping shirt and attempt to share the glory of the 'save' celebrations
In Suarez's case it would be running on in a Barca shirt, now he has finally managed to engineer a move away from LFC
You cant blame him from wanting a move to a much bigger club. A club that will probably win a league title or 3
Yeah, Barca are a global giant. Suarez's antics deserve a bigger stage than Norwich in front of 40k in the provinces
What are all you sad cretins going to talk about when he goes? Oh I know it will be LFC orientated but very interested to know what you'll slavishly latch on to next in a futile attempt to fill the dreary grey that is your lives..... Personally can't wait to see the "beautiful" football Chelsea will continue to play under the tactical genius humpy one or how the guy with the Nazi haircut tries to scrape the Moyes **** off the United shirt....... We will continue playing the stylish attacking football from last year. We always seem to replace the irreplaceable striker. Talking of, is Torres staying at Chelsea?
view from me ... shame for Liverpool really a brilliant player forced to sell .. the idiot he is .. all the other supporters especially the rivals are loving it because they know how important he was to yous ..
