I don't remember seeing anything about what day Dawson and ince we're due here talks , it's not often the media go into that much detail before the event

A new CB is an essential whereas a player like Ince is a desirable. At this stage, getting Dawson and not Ince would be a much easier pill to swallow than the other way round.

Dawson is indeed a gent. Great pro. No ego and a natural defender. Hope you can keep him fit as that's the only downside. Him and Davies should be a good partnership.

one of my well connected partners (business wise) in the City who, for his sins, has a box at Palace (I know, but he's decent fella & he makes sure they get some bottles of San Miguel on ice when I'm there..) has it on good authority that Dawson is on his way to us....had bro in ear & thinks he's going to be on borrowed time at WHL.....I was also told that money wasn't an issue but playing 1st team football might be....we'll see.....

Are there any more Dawsons coming down the pipe? I dont see why we need to be holding ourselves back with just two of the fellas.

I think it's very good to have three "first choice" centre halves. Davies wipl be pushed to stay at the brilliant level he was last season, Chezzy will be pushed to develop, amd Dawson will be pushed to remain at a high level. It will be the same for pur wingers/forwards with sp many options they must all perform to stay in the team. Just Figgy to replace/have competition and maybe a striker and playmaker, possibly loans, then we'll be all set to compete in both the league and other tournaments.

Dawson Jnr certainly seems like an excellent pro who just loves playing football as his brother n dad, grandad etc and would do it for min wage as a job if had to..his current wealth just comes as a by product of what football has become...Now why am i seriously struggling to imagine Toms in the same boat?!... Alex Ferguson would have long since strangled him then booted him out the doors i imagine!..hope am wrong if we get him..but think hes more suited to the flashy clubs of London and orrible Arry to be honest.

Surprised you think that as Dawson would probably pull a hamstring in the flash London clubs! Avb tried to kick him out of spurs but he turned down Qpr and worked hard to win his place back. He knows his days are now numbered with us but he just wants to play games and he will be suited to your club. But don't be too harsh on Daws if he takes a day trip to London every now and then!

That wouldn't be the Kevin Dawson most recently at Yeovil? I swear he was at Mansfield or something.

Chesterfield is one club on his CV. He's now at Stocksbridge steels, not done quite as well as Andy and Michael. Still pretty impressive to get 3 brothers on professional contracts.

I'm sure Kevin had to retire from a bad injury at a relatively young age?

I think Chester will make an excellent RB with Davis and Dawson in the middle and a new LB

That is a distinct possibility, I can't find any recent playing data from him. So that's probably the explanation.

Tommy - You must have the wrong Kevin Dawson as he didn't play for Yeovil or Mansfield.

Not sure about that, Rossy is a tried and tested player in that position. I have always thought though Chezzy could please in central defensive mid-field role, like Bruce played on a couple of occasions.

I think you're reading what he said about Tom Ince and taking it as comment on Dawson. And misreading what he meant by "flashy London clubs", too.

    But I could be wrong
