per RvN, he's the quintessential out and out striker the only reason I may not put him in the top 5 (6th at worst though) is he was pretty one dimensional. Henry was good for 20+ assists as well as 20+ goals some seasons, Drogba was an unplayable beast as well as a big game scorer, Fowler running with the ball past defenders was almost winger like at times, Shearer had a combination of traits. RvN was a great scorer but it was mainly service based (and his skill at being in the right place to capitalise) rather than individual brilliance or team play. Still one of the best but on the fringe for me.
I've read this whole thread several times.....................apart from all the other posts, and I can not see one shout out for "Baldy" Pevsner of Neasden FC. Surely one of the greatest 20th and 21st century strikers.

drogba, jimmy floyd hasselbiank, rvn, henry, shearer for me. i voted for fowler though just because he was listed. everyone forgets eidur gudjohnson... awesome footballer.
