    Back of our bus!

I wasn't sure why we purchased Fryers, other then thinking we signed a Man Utd youth player that slipped through their system but hes more likely to be Robbie Savage then David Platt! But as we have seen before, players can surprise us when a new manager arrives so the one good thing about this season is everyone feels they have chance to impress and some may suit the managers style more then others.

What are your views on Fryers?

Fryers looked really good at CB when he played there in my opinion. He's got the right frame for a CB too, generally, full backs tend to be fairly small but can cover the ground well, Zeki must easily be 6ft and I think with the right coaching and learning from others beside him, he could turn out to be a half decent centre back in years to come. For the time being though I'm happy with him competing with <insert new LB's name> while we say our goodbyes to Danny Rose.

I haven't seen enough of him, I don't think and I'm not sure he's been played, when played, in his best position, even then. He is a centre back, isn't he? And I think I've only seen him (but have probably forgotten) playing full-back?

Fryers is supposed to be LB.
He is fairly good as an attacking LB, but his defensive work leads much to be
desired. Given that is essentially the same issue with Rose, you see the basic
problem the club has for LB.

Yes, I guess he'll be needed as cover, regardless, for centre and full back positions.
Ah, thanks! I'm wondering what the plans are for Rose and Naughton. I think I'd rather have Fryers as cover, than Rose, and Rose won't be happy, if we intend Davies to be first choice. Then we still have Benny. And we need good cover for Kyle.

BAE will have to put in a serious shift to fit into Pochettinos' plans. On paper the odds are against it.

Yes, I make stupid bets but betting on Benny to make a comeback is too stupid even for me!

We do need a decent GK #2 (Archer is not ready) . And Lloris may be gone in the summer.
So no surprises there is Vorm gossip.

I can understand why we would like him as a back-up (I know Brad can't last much longer but is OK right now) but I can't see why he'd want to be one. I can only see that making sense if Hugo is going to leave so the paper is probably making assumptions.

Mentioned this on the swans board as while it would be great to have Vorm as back-up, its unrealistic. Best we can probably hope for is either a youth player to become Lloris understudy or an experienced pro nearing the end of his career. Unless that is Vorm doesn't care much about his career and fancies warming our bench and living in London.

If this £50m claim is true then I work it out as below:

Davies - £8m (stated in media)
Vorm - probably £12m if that

    So that makes Bony £30m+

He had a decent season without setting the league alight - 25 goals in 48 appearances for Swansea is a good return certainly but he's not suddenly jumped to a £30m (based on the fact Swansea paid £12m for him)

They paid £12million so imo will want at least double that to let him go.

Highly doubt Vorm would play back up, unless he wants an easy life from now on?

A Scottish messi is something else, probably. It sounds like vomit after a session on the tennants super strength

Spurm you need to forget about your memories of Glasgow. Scots are all drinking buckfast, a high class alcoholic beverage that is responsible for the increased pregnancy rate!

Gauld actually does look a half decent player for his age, though playing in the SPL, even Boss could look a good player.
