Great effort Kilburn, I might have a new job for you next season Algeria look good. They're playing with great tenacity and skill.
He has to do it. He's their sweeper believe it or not! It's his role when they play with such a high line, just like at Bayern. You usually see him on about five journeys well outside his box a game. But he got lucky with that one, could have gone either way.
They certainly do - too bad they are not making that advantage count though. I'm off work today, was a bit bored in between matches, so ended up making more of an effort on this one - certainly not planned, initially I just put up a basic thread then kept adding to it as more match details became available.
"Per Mertesacker is a man of many strengths. But playing as the last man on the halfway line is not one of them. A dangerous game, and one that Algeria are more than happy to play..."
That's not a bad idea, I might employ that for next season instead of sitting intensively for an hour or so constructing the MD thread. The trouble is, is that a lot of the content only becomes available in the few hours leading up to kick-off. Which by then, I'm usually on my way to the match. This is a great 0-0 so far. I fear that the Algerians will rue those missed opportunities.
I really hope we get Vahid as our NT manager, he would have made such a big impact on our NT playing style and surely finished first in the group
He did......
We have different WC TV coverage over here, so was trying to figure that comment out. Vine: Glenn Hoddle called Algeria âAl Jazeeraâ during ITVâs World Cup coverage this evening please log in to view this image Poor Glenn suffered a rather unfortunate slip of the tongue during ITVâs coverage of Germany v Algeria this evening. During the half-time discussion about what has been a very entertaining first half of the last 16 clash between Germany and Algeria, Hoddle spoke about the problems facing Algeria heading into the second half. Or at least thatâs what he meant to speak about⦠We donât want to hammer Glenn too much because it was clearly an honest mistake and he corrected himself immediately afterwards, but letâs just say that the problems facing Al Jazeera and the problems facing the Algerian football team are just a little bit different. http://www.joe.ie/football/world-cu...-during-itvs-world-cup-coverage-this-evening/
If only the Algae forwards had a better first touch they'd be two or three ahead. Some of their final balls leave a lot to be desired too. The Germs look quite ordinary...thought I was watching us for a mo.
