Pirlos book is highly recommended at the moment, need to download it. One I don't recommend is Peter Swans book, unless you want to laugh at the full page photo of him holding a plate of salad

I've just got the book about Robert Enke, I'm not very far into it but it's been a good read so far.

Since I got a Kindle I've read quite a lot of books, mostly about football - Keith Gilsepie's autobigoraphy is very good, as is the secret footballer book.

Now Tigers is a good book ,thought it was about the Detroit baseball team at first. Should have made it clear really in the title.

Read Zlatan Ibrahimovic's book on a flight a few months ago. Thought it was quite interesting. Not good, but interesting.

Is that for sale in the club shop?

I'm popping in this week and need a few books for my hols.

Hang on, are you on the rise?

With a title like that it's a pro name change book isn't it?

In that case I'll give it a miss.

Dont judge a book by its cover. The pages maybe white but the prints black as Im sure the author sees both as equal. Some nice black and white pictures too. I say to the author...

I just checked out that book on Amazon as its one I've not heard about before. I don't remember any area called "Now", and whilst I understand calling it "Hull Tigers" might be a little too right field, sorry, left field, for some, it would have at least made it obvious who its about.

I note with delight that another author has spotted that whilst Hull City AFC is fine as an intro, reverting to the more pithy and short "Tigers" makes better reading. I'm a little disappointed they didn't use the proper nickname of "The Tigers" but sadly, some people despite their protestations don't value the heritage of a club as much as they claim to. As it is, you have to guess which team the books about if you just see the title on its own. Shocking really.

Bit expensive for my tastes too, is it all in black and white or is there any colour in there too?

I read that by the pool last summer.

Enjoyed it, it's a good premise.

Could have done with the careful eye of an editor but an excellent first draft.

The football business by David Conn. Its factual, as you expect a journo's book to be, and its long in tooth now but a great warts n all look at the rise of the "EPL", the people and clubs that made it happen, and how those that got in quick got rich, and those that, well, didn't.
