Howard Webb got it spot on, and had he been reffing yesterday he would have booked Robben for the dive in the first half (which the ref called) and we might not have had the ending that we did.

Nass, another very good referee is Munich's Felix Brych. He had a blip in the last Bundesliga season when he failed to spot that infamous 'hole in the side netting' "scored" by Bayer Leverkusen. For me, it just showed that you cannot trust the honesty of the present-day professional footballer. The "scorer", Stefan Kiessling, knew damn well that he had not scored with that header, but did not have the guts or integrity to report it to Brych. A bloody scandal. An interesting observation is that the German national trainer, Löw, did not select him for Brazil; previous to this incident Kiessling was well in the running.

Yep, you are right that you can't trust the integrity of players. Hence why I think Fifa really need to stamp down on it. Ban Robben from the next match, that will stop him doing it again... etc etc

I think we would all agree that, once again, the best performing Englishman at the World Cup has been a referee <doh>

According to Greg Dyke it was the bloke who answers to the name ‘Prince Harry’. Dyke, straight faced, actually came up with the line that if the bloke who answers to the name ‘Prince Harry’ had attended England’s first 2 matches then he may have inspired the team (like Dyke thinks his presence against against Costa Coffee did) to better performances against Italy and Uruguay. Ab-so-lute-lee un-bee-leave-able.

I am thinking about going to Warwick on Friday to see Foxtrot Knight run.... has anyone been and how did they find the racecourse experience?

I’ve never been to Warwick racecourse but I have been to Warwick Castle a couple of times. That’s a first rate place to visit, by the way, and the first time I went there I actually saw the ghost of a nun. But that’s another story...

67 looks a fairly reasonable perch re the Knight. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him figure prominently off that. Needs a dry week though, I would have thought, as he seemed a much better animal last time with the word ‘firm’ in the old going descriptor.

Been a few times nass very nice track and pretty clean and tidy our man heis looked after me last time and boy was it good to have the owner/trainer passes. The parking can be a bit of a bit h but there is a car park over the road from the main track car park a bit further on , I think it was £5 but would be better than sitting in traffic . Hope you have a good day out mate anything you need to know in particular just ask mate .

Good luck Nass. I see your boy is also entered in the WEATHERBYS SUPER SPRINT on Sat 19th July along with some others trained by Olly Stevens (namely unraced Glorious Magic, Spring Seraph, Miss Tango Hotel and Star Studded and also The Paco Kid and Fast Lola). Any idea how your boy compares with those?

I see he is still entered in the £300k race at Doncaster in September and a Listed race at Redcar in October

Webb has been moderate and inconsistent in the Premiership this last year.

He failed to award Brazil a blatant penalty.

His handling of the last WC final was poor.He lost control of the match which turned into a card fest and failed to act correctly after the infamous De Jong challenge on Alonso.

In respect of stupid comments I suggest you revisit yesterdays thread and read some of your own contributions!

I was just going to put this up Wooley, and for all the same reasons. This is such a drop in class that if she cannot win this means connections really have over estimated the horse's abilities in regard to it's previous entries. Good luck and I will be on with you.
