Been having a sift through Twitter. Some tweets give a balanced perspective to the Rossco situation. particularly like the first. So true! Joe Lawton ‏@JoeLawton11 1h The anger directed at a player because he doesn't want to spend the prime years of his career finishing 15th in the Championship is amusing Jennifer ‏@jenberlufc 39m No player is bigger than a club, he just has higher ambitions than a no-bit conference cast off coach. Hardly rocket science. lufc ‏@SerenaLufcDobo 1h Our clubs a Fukin mess, but that doesn't mean I have the right to slag @Rossmccormack44 off, he worked his balls off last season
Apparently, all is not as it appears, according to the YEP . .. leon wobschall ‏@LeonWobYP 1h Heard Paddy Kenny has also not travelled to Italy and has stayed behind. Also told the footage of him doing the rounds is rubbish btw. #lufc
Cellino isn't a manager, he is a rich businessman who is as much an armchair manager as everyone on here.
I don't blame Ross for wanting to leave and it doesn't have to be a bad thing. Just not very inspiring when you hear a player who is going to be hard to replace is on his way out and a not very promising player at LB in a position we are okay in is inward bound. Yes we need to allow the transfer window to unfold and look at what we have come the start of the season, it's just that we are so far short in all departments with Ross going it has reached alarming.
Yeah but he's being doing his armchair management for the last 20+ years so he prob picked up a few things
He might know more about the game but I bet he doesn't know a lot more about English based players Seriously, you can't tell me he has been to Maidenhead and scouted this player? I doubt there is even any video footage of him, with Hockaday who and now Andre who I feel like someone is taking the piss and feeding Cellino some you have been framed list of candidates. **EDIT - Just beat me to it TC **
Ryanair have confirmed that paddy Kenny has gone with the rest of the squad please log in to view this image
I thought Cellino said "Ross will stay unless he asks to leave" so the fact Ross has asked to leave means there is not much the club can do about it. One good season of a few goals is OK and anything above 5m is good business, someone else will step up and score the goals like they always do when are striker leaves. The club is bigger than Ross, good luck to him in the Prem as I assume that is where he is going? MOT
what ever you get you have to give 1/2 to Cardiff and the fact he has asked to leave means outing him quick for whatever you can get
I don't believe there is a sell on fee, when reports were circulating that Cardiff had offered £9m for him a week back nowhere did it suggest that they would only have to pay a percentage due to any clauses. Either way he is contracted to us till 2017 so if he has stayed away from training it must be because a buyer is lined up for the right price or an injury.
I have to say Ristac, I can't recall reaing anywhere that Cardiff had offerred £9m. Had they done so, I think it would have been very difficult to refuse, even more so given the apparently parlous state of our finances.
Stories were rife mate, Cardiff denied it shortly afterwards, quick search pulled off the first link http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-plot-9m-ross-mccormack-3705223 I am not saying I believe the story, just pointing out the fact that I would have assumed somewhere it would have mentioned a reduced figure if there was a sell on clause Dug out some interesting Cardiff supporters comments about his time with them, a few references to throwing his toys out the pram and his general behaviour http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=119502
