I renewed, but despite our best ever season, I did consider not renewing. And this despite several years ago, paying £2,000 to secure my seats for life. I decided no bonkers old bloke would **** up my Saturday afternoons, so I'll continue going home and away, until such time as I feel so ****ed off that I can continue no longer. I've no idea how close we are to that time, but i've no doubt it's getting closer all the time.
What's coming through is that he's not bonkers, just irreverent. He is definitely not so bonkers to throw £90m into an ego trip. I do think he had a game-plan that had gone awry, but I also think he is in recovery mode. What he is doing in the transfer market has nothing to do with a lunatic; it is shrewd and calculated. I posted earlier about his Will options, folk want to argue rather than consider that he might want to use financial flex to gift something, eventually. I am a well stated Allam doubter, but I also find it hard to see a man and his family as numpties; especially when their actions are progressive and well constructed. Don't like the lies and the attitude, but, maybe, the annoying old fart is coming to terms with the real business.
That might explain why he has gone from saying 'There is no money' to flashing the cash in recent months.
It might; it happens. One thing is a fact, the stakes have upped dramatically and no matter how critical your view, you will be daft to think him a fool.
It's good to see that a lot of the waverers are renewing, I was at the Circle on Saturday and the queue was out the door waiting to buy passes, hopefully not many are walking away, we know Allams a fruitcake but we've had worse, we've supported the Tigers during the really poor seasons, this could be our best ever, keep the faith, renew your pass, UTT
i agree. no mug at all. it's easy to call Mr Allam on here just because some CTWD members cannot get him to agree to their own ego filled agenda. If CTWD want their agenda, then stump up the cash as the present owner has done (and seemingly does continually) ......
That's the same bloke that allows you to enjoy your Saturday afternoons too. Must cause a real dilemma for you.
Does anyone actually know mussiesredhat? I just do not believe he's a pro allamer/anti CTWD. He hates the premiership, drums, goal music, money etc... I thought Allam would be his worst nightmare....
Careful OLM, you'll be lambasted for mixing with those who dare to disagree. Mussiesredhat is actually quite a sensible professional person. Unfortunately, mussiesredhat also has a life away from the chat boards but spends far too much time Sat on't pot!!!!
Twas just a metaphor for watching football Mussie, OLM used it and it made sense. I agree mind, rarely nowadays or so it seems. Will become less as we rise heroically through the old order to take our place in the top 6.
