Most betting sites have us favourites to sign him (he's a freebie). Been immense at the World Cup. Any truth in it?
Possibly if Krul is away. We probably need the funds from Krul to get anywhere near having a transfer budget. I thought Arsenal might have fancied him to be honest.
Yea thought if we flog Krul it might have some truth. I wouldn't be too bothered really Krul has looked dodgy for a while. Think Arsenal were 3rd favs after us and Marseille
I haven't been impressed with Krul of late but truthfully I'd be happy to keep him long term. He has boat loads to learn and is young for a keeper. However Ochoa himself is only 28 so if Krul was to go, at least we could have a long term option in place. Cult hero at Ajaccio last couple of years. Being already in France may mean Marseille have a March on the rest, but he might fancy a new challenge. Don't be surprised if we sell Krul and decide Elliot is good enough though!
Why would we ever sign a guy who's only going to get better offers everywhere else due to his performances at the World Cup? Think about it logically, if you were the player's agent, would you accept our (sure-to-be) lowball-ing offer, or would you hold out and wait for other clubs offers? And when as for the truths to the Krul situation, those are after all just rumours. When Krul is still around here, there is no way Ochoa will come here.
I think that was probably decided when Fraudew brought in Elliot from Charlton (jobs for the boys) and then again when we sold Forster for a pittance.
Quite possibly but just another gamble to mad Mike. You can always rectify it in January, worked last time afterall. The fact we were fortunate that there were just some really **** teams that season is just overlooked. Don't rate Pardew very highly on all known evidence. However if anyone is kidding themself that it would all be better under a different manager they should think again. Good managers would never take the job and even if they did, they would struggle. Its become a poisoned chalice of under investment and low ambition.
I see one of his clubs current supporters has put his house up for sale so that he can give the money to the club to resign him.
When Krul joins Debuchy at Arsenal this guy could be a good option. He will get lots of practice in next year.
