There was contact so I am not going to say it wasnt a penalty but he clearly took a swan dive to sell it to the ref.
If contact in the box meant penalty we'd be seeing at least 50 every game. The contact was minimal and wasn't enough to put him off balance or slow him at all, it was a slight brush. Pathetic dive from the tosser.
My point being that the contact could have been enough to cause a foul. The way he dove like an idiot to sell it makes it real hard to know if the contact was serious enough. If I was the ref I would have booked the idiot for flopping like that.
A bit sorry for Mexico, Robben (Who I hate) bought the penalty, but the defender was stupid to put his foot in.
Chapeau to the Dutch. Can you imagine us drilling one in from outside the box on 88, then pressing for the winner, and scoring a top pen, into the inside of the side netting on 94 ? Big match temperament or nouse, call it what you will....we don't have it.
Fascinating game. Robben's a cheating diving bastard but I can't help loving watching him play. Excellent from both teams, just hope Moreno is ok... Anyone noticed any flares or fireworks in the games yet? Atmosphere seems pretty good to me without this unnecessary garnish. Just lots of people, dressed up, paint on, enjoying the spectacle that is football.
Robben is a twat, but it was a penalty and he should have had one in the first half as well(as should Mexico). The better team won, no complaints.
Lots of people stood up making noise. That will never catch on in most parts of the KC. No one moaning about people stood up,even with huge hats on, blocking their view. Not even Brazilians who have paid a couple of weeks wages to watch a couple of teams from other countries. Unlike some pathetic fans who send texts to get other fans of their own club ejected from Wembley
Plenty of flares at Glastonbury last night, but no damage done, a few drug issues, but no flare related injuries. Hardly a surprise, as there's hundred of flares at European games every week with no issues. Some people are simply not cut out to be football fans, obsessed with health and safety, not interested in club history and not allowed to attend games in December. I pity them.
Just wondering why you saw fit to put the word 'apparently' in there? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume it's some sort of autocorrect **** up.
Holland have now won 10 out of their last 11 games in the world cup finals. We have won 1 in 7. Yet some still think we're a force at international level.
