    And if you don't mind a bit of a drive, head out towards the Austrian border to Neuschwanstein castle - its breathtaking. Its what Walt Disney based his Sleeping Beauty castle on. A lot of history about mad king Ludwig and Wagner around that place.

    .. I could go on - I love Germany.

    Decent Hotels in the centre of Munich sure are pricey....!!

    Sorry mate - I stayed with friends, so my accommodation was free :)
    Have you tried Easyjet Hotels? We got an amazing deal when I took mrs R&W to Krakow a couple of years back.
