We haven't signed anyone, and I'm not expecting us to sign anyone simply on the basis that others are already busy/active. I mean if Van Gaal can sign players whilst still on duty in Rio, why can't Wenger?

So, assuming we won't get the players (with the requisite quality) we need , I'm not betting on us progressing.

I think we will sign some players but whether or not they will be of the quality we need to compete for the Premier league and champions league I'm not so sure. As it stands though we are definitely behind Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man U are closing the gap.

I think we have the third best squad in the league behind Chelsea and city but liverpool with Suarez and utd with rvp could trump us based on there high level of ability.

Im thinking Chelsea if they get Costa are favourites for the title with city close behind.

It really depends what else happens in the transfer window.

But at the moment I have us down for third.

think you'll finish third. Chelsea to win, city 2nd, you 3rd, Liverpool 4th. man united will learn that the grass is not always greener on the other side when they finish 6th.

Balotelli, Aurer, Sanchez and Schneiderlin and I think we can compete for the title.

Cue Gyan, Milner, the promotion of Jenko to first choice and the return of Diaby and Walcott as Wengers signings to challenge ;)

Jeez, I just wish the next two months would be quicker... The wait is a nightmare!

It seems that only rarely do the favorites for the title win. Chelsea were supposed to win easily last year. The year before City were supposed to win, not United.

I think the new kit deal might have something to do with the delay. We are probably obligated to photograph new players and sell their kit, even if there is only 10 days left before we have to do it again with a new supplier.

I think we will get at least one Ozil level signing to get the pulse racing and we will replace anyone that leaves. I doubt the signings will be exactly what people are expecting because trying to predict the players Wenger will buy has been completely impossible up until now, for me at least.

Err No. City were favourites with most bookies from the start.

That's not true. If you remember there was the whole new managers thing and Pelligrini was seen as the least likely to succeed. City were, of course mentioned by a few, but overall Chelsea were getting picked by the majority of pundits.

I had City/Chelski/United/Us in that order last season. Not my fault United ballsed it up! I'll make a new prediction at the start of the season, seems pointless to do so now. Still, I always have faith that Arsene will have us competitive no matter what.

Ok - well that is meaningless as it reflects money taken in, rather than a teams chances of winning. If a mentally ******ed billionaire places a 30million pound bet on Stoke City winning the league they automatically become favorites.

With the present squads, i'm going with 3rd.

That may change depending what further signings/departures everyone has.
