its a quality track that, last time we had a pre-derby all nighter at mine we woke the neighbours up singing it at the top of our voices at 5am, i have since been banned from hosting said events
I have to admit I think it'll be one of the highlights and I'm not kidding. She's a great performer and I think the reaction from the crowd will bring out a belter from her. I always enjoy some of the 'minor' artists at Glastonbury that have slipped me by. The likes of Kasabian do nowt for me, way too contrived.

On the drink so whacked some tunes on. Doves were excellent. That lad has a fantastic voice that would suit any genre and think he's a bit wasted in indy rock. Paulo Nuttini again a fantastic voice and great to hear him him composing tunes that are bit soulful and funky, it suits his voice. And then Arcade Fire. I followed them closely for the first two albums but felt they were losing their way when Suburbs came out and it showed in their performance, Their recent numbers seem chaotic, disorganised and uncomfortable but when they belted out tunes from the first two albums and it was just polished to perfection, I'm not talking about vocals, none of them can sing for ****. Hated their pretentious stage show but the music from those first two albums, wow! Arcade fire at their best, haunting violin riffs, cheeky brass interference, hypnotic keyboard loops and rocky guitar bounce. Love the additional percussion arrangement too. Any one catch the Kaiser Chiefs? Another band who's glory lies in the first two album. Band just have no staying power these days. Seen them live for the 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' tour and they we great, I was young and out of it but one of the many days of my life around that time. Were they any good?
Arcade Fire are made for Glastonbury, big in every way no matter how arrogant and pretentious. They make Elbow look like an advert for Ovaltine. Still no wonder why bands have bongo players though. The daft buggers thrash around, with a look of anguish on their face, but no one can hear them. Still think Dolly Parton will be what 2014 is remembered for
I was shocked to learn that was their first Glasto. I agree, the sheer numbers in the band helps to fill a very large stage, just works.
Just watching it again. It reminds me of a Damned gig I saw at Sheffield Bierkeller, or whatever it was called, some German ****e. Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies etc kept swapping instruments then launching into Sex Pistols classics for no apparent reason. I like musicians who are obviously talented and know their stuff.
Saw them at Pukkelpop in Belgium on their first album tour and they were brilliant. Climbing all over the scaffolding and going mental.
Arcade Fire? Did they play it in order? That album flows so well from start to finish. What do you think of their latest stuff?
I believe so mate but I wasn't quite myself that weekend you know? Hard to recall I just remember it being mesmerising. They lost it after one album for me, a couple of decent tunes on the second but then they've just fallen off the face of the earth for me. Much like Kasabian.
I love Kasabian, but their earlier stuff, won't be buying their latest album. Noel Gallagher once said as long as Kasabian are around there's no need for Oasis, doubt he maintains that view point. Bands have no staying power any more.
John was a scientist, he was hooked on LSD, Interested in mind control and how the monkey held the key That album is a musical ride you're bang on.
