Yes, again, that's what I was saying. I notice you're assuming the upper bound of that range. Haven't seen any reports that the Shaw deal is worth more than £31m either.

Funny, I'm sure I read elsewhere he was 'the star of the World Cup'... Now Algeria's best player.

Not remotely. It's just business to players and clubs. The fans just pay for it all.

Plus Carragher Gerrard & Owen where boyhood Everton fans and that was when being a supporter meant more (at a younger age) yet they had no hesitation about playing for Liverpool.

The main problem is not players coming and going, because that happens all the time. The thing I dislike is that we've had a style over the past few years and this can only be maintained if you buy a few players and graft them to a trunk with strong roots. Too many changes will change everything...not necessarily for the worse, but I have grown to love the way we play. Suppose I shouldn't be worried about style when league safety is at stake, but sad nonetheless.

No papers are 100% credible. Crook is saying the same 33m to 34m after add ons.

All deals for young players include add on's, such as extra money based around appearances or what they achieve. Saints wanted 30 million. Man Utd wanted to pay 27 so a compromise of 27 million plus add-ons based on success (which is practically gaureented at Man Utd) is a smart move.

Of course not, but as they were saying £40m a few days ago they're going to try and minimise their embarrassment at overestimating it so much by adding a few million.

If it is £34m then it really doesn't leave much for Lallana then does it? Blackmore reckons £50m, so we may only be seeing £16m from selling Lallana? And you're telling me the board did everything they could?

Surely more likely Lallana went for £25m, of which we see £19m (still not enough in my view, but anyway...), and Shaw went for up to £31m.

I really don't give a toss about the odd 2 or 3 mill here or there with regard to these transfers. In my mind, they had all gone prior to the World Cup anyhow (which is why I've only enjoyed seeing Gaston, Maya and Morgan play). Just interested in seeing who we bring in now.

Exactly. Shaw has gone for about £30m. That is a good deal. Lallana we don't really know and if £25m then that's ok really if he's been a dick with the club.

    Lets move on.
