I feel very confident that we'll be pleasantly surprised and excited by who we sign, and all will be well in the world again.

Complete guess. Trying to sound authoriative though, how did it go?

    Good point, well made.

I once heard about a man that sold everything he had, his house, his car etc., and then put the whole lot on red at a roulette table. I think this is what the board are basing our transfer policy for this window on.

(The man won by the way...)

Perhaps in the build-up of outgoing players, Ronald asked to build his own team. Well he's certainly going to have to do it now, with imminent departures. So that leaves only Fonte, KD and possibly Schneidlein from our League 1 days with the addition of Cork and Hoovield from the Championship team. Gone - Guly, Lambert, Shaw, Lallana, (yet to be confirmed Lovren). We don't know if Osvaldo will come back but I feel he won't interest Juve as they can acquire better players than that.

Koeman would have been told clearly what was likely to happen. Pretty sure that with sufficient funds a manager of his calibre would be confident that he could build a good team. The problem is racing against time to get new players in and integrated. I'm not expecting too much next season...midtable safety would be fine, but the following season we should see Koeman's real side.

Disappointed we couldn't tap up Lallana but after sacking Sherwood, we lost some of that attraction, for up and coming players to move. Although Lallana is replaceable. 25 million, added to the income from Shaw & Lambert will give Koeman a chance to bring in some technical players from abroad. Could find players as talented as Michu & Bony or if you're lucky, you could find the next Chadli. Overall you're still in line to finish just outside the big 7 clubs and match your league position of last year, unless Koeman is a flop, but I hope he is a success!

He knows. He's just retweeted the comment from Les Reed about Koeman having the money and that Koeman will reinvest.

Not sure I feel comfortable giving a manager, who can leave at any time, that much power. The clubs (at our level) who have done well recently have had consistent leadership at board level and manager changes have had little effect on players or playing style.

Haha, in what universe would Lallana be more interested in playing for Sherwood than he would for Pochettino?

We can reassess in two years and see where Sherwood is, where Pochettino is and where Koeman is and I very much doubt they will be in the positions we all currently foresee. Although you shouldn't dismiss Tim as hes well respected in the game and players are aware of his ability to bring through youth, as we're seeing with Bentaleb being one of the stars of the world cup.

Seriously Boss, bore off about Sherwood. It's very, very old already, and of precisely zero interest to this board.
