No I would prefer him to stay at the club he loves and play like the champions league player he thinks he is.

 

Sod Lallana, it's hardly a surprise, and Krueger never said "nobody will be leaving", just people weirdly decided to interpret it as that.

Why are people acting all surprised that Lallana (he will be booed) and Shaw (possibly not) are going? Surely we've pretty much known this for a while now? Even those with and ostrich-like head burying technique must have seen it coming. **** them, we move on.

 

In his view he's done that and now he wants to leave for the Champions League club that: A) wants him and B) he deserves

 

If Everton can hold onto their players, we should be able to.

I really don't think he would have been happy enough to stay. His head has been turned. Not getting 30mil when we were holding out for that though is another matter.

Wouldn't have happened. He made the decision to leave months ago. You can't tell me a player that used Blackmore as his own mouth piece would just sit there and take not leaving.

 

Agree 100%. I expect at least £40million to be invested in new players over the summer.

Fair or not...there will be a marked difference at the Liverpool game between how fans greet SRL and how they greet Lallana #mayhisbonesbepickedbycrows

 

People say this but players are pragmatic. If he found himself here when the window closed, he would get on with it. There are occasional examples of players who cause trouble in that situation, but he's never shown signs of that and I don't believe he would do that considering his attachment to the club. I'm sorry, I think we could have done much more to hold onto him, or at least get a better price, especially given Liverpool's insulting offers for him.

I really don't get it.

We've pretty much known this for.......about ever.

Of course we're going to sign people, and we may actually be better off. Out with the old unfaithful girlfriend - you never know, the new one might be prettier and more fun to live with. We're just getting rid of the one that's been spending far too much time in front of the mirror recently.

One or two big money transfers out, re-invest whilst keeping the core of the team. The same philosophy as BVB, atletico etc.

No one else sells their whole squad at the same ****ing time - especially when their manager has just gone. It's really, really, really stupid.

 

Kept Baines and Mirrallas last season, sold Fellaini because they knew it was outrageous business for them

 

Needs to be more than that, really. We entered this summer largely united in the belief that we needed a new CB, a new striker, a new attacking mid, and perhaps a left back as depth and a keeper as competition. Now, we're also selling a CB, a striker, an attacking mid and our only left back...we probably need 7-8 signings or we're going to have massive problems with depth.
