He was trying for a golf tour, but I don't think it was to make a living, the annual earnings on that tour are far less than we were paying him per week.
I struggle to care any more tbh. If people haven't seen the cult of Nick Barmby was a sham by now they never will. Thousands of City fans would give anything to be the hometown hero and he just kinda faked the whole thing. Sad really.
be fair to TWF, OLM - it must be really upsetting for him to know he can never see the shaggy haired one ever play at the KC again, or even that said player will ever manage the club TWF supports, and that most people believe the propaganda that Adam Pearson and Barmby came out with to turn all the supporters against the finest player there has ever been at Hull City
How's about a Nick Barmby autobiography ? Now that would interesting. He could call it Germany 1 England 5. That would be a slap across the chops for Jimmy, who though he did get in the England squad, never actually played a game. I'd love to read that, a warts and all account of Dr Barmbys career. There's a quite a few things that could be cleared up, and unlike Bullards, it would be believable.
What makes it more believable though? Other than your preconceptions based on nothing but messageboard chatter?
Jimmy tooted coke off a sink next to me in a golf club changing rooms, I didn't need to read about it on a message board.
But you're posting it on a messageboard anonymously with no proof, so whether it's true or not doesn't matter. It's just people believing what they want to believe.
Whether people believe what I post or not is entirely up to them. But obviously for me, I don't have to make a judgement on what someone's posted, I was stood in the ****ing room.
