The budget is difficult. The club can't reveal it or we will get shafted. The club need to reveal it or the fans will all (me included) cry and believe they are being tight.
Thought I'd give some attention to comments made by Jay Rodriguez to his local paper in Burnley: http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014...guez-cant-wait-to-link-up-with-ronald-koeman/
That's the kind of transfer I don't mind. Shaw didn't really make a stink about going, Man U don't appear to have tapped him up or wooed him in the press. They just offered us a fair price, and when turned down offered a sum generous enough to make it worth our while.
They do indeed, doesn't stop it being very frustrating to lose our own to the bigger clubs. One full season is what I meant.
I dunno about not tapping him up, they agreed the deal with him many months ago. I don't really care either way, it happens all the time and we've clearly won the deal with the fee, so no biggie. Think a few people owe Saintjoey an apology.
Hope we spend the money if we spend it well, but no point in just spending it because you have it...that way is madness (aka as buying Andy Carroll). Some will also be needed for sorting out some improved contracts for current players and paying wages of incoming players. We can also expect others to expect silly money for their players (aka as buying Andy Carroll).
Saying that, as long as we keep Lovren, Morgan & Adam here, don't think I'd mind too much, especially as we have targett coming through (till next year anyway, lol!)
JRod just been on Sky talking about the progress he is making...lots of hard work to keep fit and build muscle. All carefully controlled...if you had a similar injury, you'd be lucky to get a fortnightly physio appointment. He is looking forward to working with Koeman....so he's not going...though I swear he was chained to the exercise bike in case he made a break for it.
Yes, but likely with our permission hence why Guan2.0 and other ITK's were unable to discuss him. I mean, I'm sure it was a little dirty but likely no worse than what we've done to other clubs, or even what Man U has had done to them by Barca or Real.
For 30 mill + I'll drive him there for that!chuck in Hernandez aswell and we'll be laughing. It's a cracking deal tbh, firstly he was never going to stay that long once he gets his head turned, seconding how much affect did he really have on the team...not much at this stage,Will he get better? Who knows. Will he end up like Wayne Bridge? Who knows. Will it not work out @ Manure? Who knows. He may crack on and be another Bale, but let's face it 30+mill for him is very good business and done for the best for Saints, not upset about it more excited about whom we will sign instead. Koeman will attract some very good players to the club and Reed has offered him a very sizeable budget,so Shaw leaving is ok by me.
