  2. Because in no way shape or form links to normal every day life styles or activities.

However, going by your "if you're banned, you're banned" theory. Why are regular bans only applicable to they competitions they were received in? Ie, domestic red card results in a domestic ban. European red card results in a European ban. International red card results in a International ban.

  3. I've said this a few times to people. It's when I say "it's just the racial abuse and biting that's the problem" that laughter usually emerges <laugh>

Because those are for regular offences. This is anything but regular (except in the sense that it's becoming a regular occurrence for Suarez).

Exceptional offences have always been subject to global bans. Players who have assaulted referees for example, or been found guilty of drugs offences, have always been given a ban from all forms of the game.

    Implied?
    Oh, that's alright then.
I think perhaps you should read back before jumping to erroneous conclusions, and not assume people have said what you want them to have said in order to justify your criticism.

My agenda is that I don't tolerate cheaters, divers and biters, and I think some things are more important than success on the pitch or making as much money as possible. Contrary to what your victim complex would have you believe, I actually have nothing against Liverpool as a club.

Tbf, my points are not necessarily based on what I've read here, but from various sources, such as Twitter.

Exceptional offences such as what? No global ban as ever happened from a on pitch activity before <laugh> <doh>

They've basically re-written their rule book for him here. As they've lumped his offence into the same category as match fixing etc in order to give him a worldwide ban.

I can only assume that they've rationalised that due to it being the 3rd time he's carried out an act that people find abhorrent.

Not sure the appeal is well judged..........

  16. I suppose an explanation from FIFA would help. that's about as likely as Blatter admitting how much money he's pocketing from the Qatar deal <doh>

See the self righteous have come to preach again....

Between owners, managers and players I've yet to see an opposition fan poster on this thread who's club is clean morally...love enjoying them in priest mode though....and we all know what they did when they weren't moralizing to the masses.........

A few million, a couple of days ago he was rumour to be worth £50-70mil in a potential transfer. Today he's still worth roughly that.

You could buy Portsmouth, the city itself, for that a few times over.

So not only would we lose a world class player, we'd lose out of a massive amount of money that could/would make a huge difference in the future of the club.

So its easy to sit there and be self righteous when you support a club that could never be in the same situation.

As to saying none of us want him gone, read back. We'd be happy to sell if the price was right, not a knock down price, but if it wasn't then he's a world class player that would make a difference in our season.

What are you talking about? I just gave you two examples. Another one would be match-fixing offences. Changing the rules? What?

You're going to feel embarrassed at how stridently you're defending this guy some day.
