Believe it or not, this adds to Suarez marketability in Uruguay. Apparently his bad boy image is doing him no harm there.

  2. Stuck with a player who won't be getting paid whilst banned and then we get the benefit of the third best player in the word? Yeah, gutted mate <doh>

    Says who?

So you reckon the club will stand by him get again and not look to get shot when the opportunity arises?

And now the Uruguay FA are appealing on behalf of Suarez, despite being been caught red handed. So I do blame Uruguay, they seem to be completely out of control and have transferred this is to the players.

A sports Lawyer on ITV says a ban from all football activity has only ever been given for corruption and mix fixing before. Never an on the pitch incident.

I dont think this is fair on Suarez tbh.

Terminate his contract, Liverpool could do that.

I agree the punishment is not a particularly good one, harsh or not, and doesn't really punish Suarez that much, but I suppose it's in line with the only type of punishment they ever tend to give out in football (match bans). He basically has an extended holiday. Yay him

    Fifa are experts on corruption.

  11. No, I believe the club will have put something in the contract that says he receives no pay or vastly reduced pay should he be banned for doing something so stupid again. Is that really hard to believe?

The club will do what is best for Liverpool and no one else. If no one offers a suitable amount then he stays.

All of that still avoids the fact that there's really only one person to blame here i.e. the one you bought and stood by.

Shifting the blame onto Uruguay's dressing room culture is speculative at best. As playing devils advocate, does that mean your dressing room was set up to allow him to get away with everything and embraced cheating when he bit Ivanovic then?

I'm not 'Wumming', I'm being serious. What deserves derision is refusing to take a stand against repeated unacceptale behaviour and saying that it's fine because he plays for the club I support. In the real world, you wouldn't be able to stay at the company you worked for if you bit someone during work hours, then some time later, bit someone outside of work. I know footballers don't live in the real world, but occasionally they should try.

Terminate his contract!! A Player worth a **** load of money, its easy for a Pompy fan to say that as none of your players are worth anything.
Another club then comes and picks him up for free and we would see absolutely nothing in return. Integrity is great if you can afford it.

Whilst no player is bigger than the club, the club needs money in order to survive and compete.

Given his previous, no maybe not mate.

By the time he returns he'll have missed 20% of Liverpool's fixtures through suspension since he signed.

Why isn't it relevant? Replace "driving" with "football" and "delivery company" with "Liverpool" and it applies completely. Football at that level is regulated just like driving is. If you are banned, you're banned.

These rationalisations are getting ridiculous. I didn't say "drink driving" I said a driving ban, I'm not comparing those two things at all, and Suarez's value is irrelevant (and he's certainly not worth £70m now). If Liverpool feel he has breached his contract, they should sue him to recoup their losses, just like Chelsea did with Mutu.

No, it's easy for me to say because none of our players are racist, cheating, cannibalistic t**ts.

Anyway, so what, you'd lose a few million. Is that going to cause Liverpool to go into administration? I doubt it. Plenty of teams have lost money on players who have gone on frees, as far as I'm aware that's never been the difference between going into administration and not.

Or you could sell him but at a cut down price, you'd still probably get some clubs interested and would get some money. Win win.

It's implied by the fact that none of you want to get rid of him
