http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/06/jimmy-bullard-small-talk-football Just saw this. I thought the story was the other way around?
I never saw Bullard claim he knocked Barmby out anywhere, surely this is a lie on Bullards part. Apologies if there was a thread with that info in it, I don't read the forum all the time.
It was just a bit of bantz as rio would call it. There's an article somewhere where Bullard describes the battle in detail, published before this interview, where he basically says it was just a bit of rolling about in the muck and that was about it, no punches landed or owt. Edit: here is the article, I think it's an extract from his book, and a small quote that pretty much sums up the ding dong on the floor.. It's sounds like Barmby would have deserved it in any case. "Iâd love to be able to say that I sorted him out, but the truth is that it was little more than explosive grappling for a few seconds. As the gaffer said later, it was hardly Ali-Frazier. We both ended up lying on a bush with no real leverage to get out of it so loads of the boys dived in to split us up." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
I can't see Mr Hats dribble, am assuming he's speaking to me. The story I saw years ago was that there was an altercation at the Country Park Inn but nobody was 'knocked-out' in fact things went on Barmbys favour if I remember rightly. Somebody get Nicky on the phone to the media to clear his name, might Tweet one of the Talksport gobshites about it
Bullard's got a book to sell, it's a load of bollocks. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/265327-More-fiction-from-Jimmy-Bullard?highlight=bullard
That’s where your professionalism comes in and I was probably lacking a little in that department. No ****
I just seem to remember if that if there was a fight then Barmby landed the only punch. Bullard is such a little ****, I've heard him on the radio a few times recently and he never mentioned the Barmby incident, probably because its a pure lie. Also seems to go on about that loser footballer who retired recently a lot saying what a great lad he is, can't remember his name but was touted as the new Beckham?! Retired at the age of 29, played for Spurs most recently, Bentley thats it, David Bentley. Great minds think alike then a right pair of twats!
Don't have any gripe with Bentley. Seems sound and seemed a bit gutted announcing his retirement but had become resigned to doing so after playing for everyone and their Sunday Local.
knocking a fellow employee clean out is surely a sackable offence? What is the shaggy-haired one's future plans in football - anyone know?
£5 million he cost us. Reckless spunking of cash by dUFFbART - allegedly. Compare and contrast with the current owners, and their reckless spending.
