Wow, I'm amazed they had the minerals to do this. Fair play.

Of course the first month and a half covers the Summer break ... but still.

Also nine match ban which I presume are internationals.

    All subject to appeal!!

This means Liverpool are "stuck" with Suarez. They should be pleased the player wants to leave but keeps scaring off possible suitors!

Personally, I think they have bottled it. He should be banned for the season, pity though that is as he is great to watch when he actually plays.

I think its a decent decision, and they made it very promptly.

Well done FIFA (violently chokes on those words)

He obviously needs some sort of help - easily the best player I've seen for/against QPR in the last 5 years (probably since the 90s in fact)

We're scheduled to play Liverpool on the 18th October. By my calculation he should still be banned.

I'm not sure what's more shocking here...the length of the ban or the fact FIFA have actually made a decisive move!

If only they'd be so quick to get shot of Sepp Blatter and clear up the Qatar/bribery mess!

So he is banned from all football until 26th October - which means he misses QPR v Liverpool.

Also, I presume this also means he cannot take part in Liverpool's pre-season - he is banned from all football activity.

He's got away with it, again! 4 months paid holiday.

If one of us was to bite another person on the street, we'd be in jail for 6 months!

Yes, anything is possible with Blatter and his cronies.

I see Suarez also got fined 100,000 Swiss Francs. Why Swiss Francs??? Dollars, Euros or Pounds yes but Swiss Bloody Francs??? I wonder who is from Switzerland???

Delighted they took decisive action against Suarez but 4 months is not enough. It should have been one whole season.
