You can understand why though. Without him they're ****ed. Their best strategy is to claim nothing noteworthy happened and hope that if they say it often enough, and with enough conviction, that people will actually start to believe it. It's a long shot obviously, but it's basically their only hope. Privately they'll be furious with him, but in public they have to support him, at least for now.
Suarez gets a nine game international ban and 4 months from all football related activity. https://twitter.com/fifamedia/status/482158968576696320
That's a punishment with teeth Will be interesting to see how that affects the attitude of his Uruguay teammates, and Liverpool.
According to our old friend Tancredi he also has a 4 months stadium ban. I think the book has been well and truly thrown.
Relief for Liverpool...he is still saleable. Could easily have had a ban that would mean they were stuck with him. Interesting that his agent blames England and Italy for this...it's indulging a player and trying to protect him from the consequences that has meant he hasn't got this childish side out of his nature.
I think it's rather pathetic actually. I mean 2 of those 4 months won't affect him as the season doesn't start until August. Is the 9 match ban just international?
I reckon they'll go with Sturridge up top with Coutinho, Sterling and Shaqiri (hopefully) behind, with Rickie to come on at some point.
9-game ban from international football. 4 month ban from all forms of football. 4 month stadium ban. 100,000 Swiss France fine.
Runs until Liverpool's game against Newcastle on November 1st, so it starts now. Not sure who would buy him though, at least, not for anything like full price...
"Any footballing activity includes administrative sporting or any other" - does that mean he can't sign paperwork for a move?
