Just an opinion, but maybe Suarez planned the bite in order to profit from the outcome. and before you say that's crazy, consider the following.

    1. By making the 3rd offence of biting, in full view of the worlds cameras, he achieves world publicity, which forces FIFA to ban him. In reality, that ban is only going to include world cup matches, which he knows Uraguay are very unlikely to win it.

    2. His 2 goals proved he is a top class player, so clubs with no principals would be more than willing to have him as a player

    3. Despite Liverpool defending him over the last biting ban, they also made it clear to him that any future actions that bring Liverpool into disrepute would not be tolerated.

    4. He is fully aware that Barca and Real Madrid are both interested in signing him, but the price Liverpool require is excessive, but the publicity from the bite episode will devalue that figure. So with a reduced figure, either of the Spanish sides would have no problem in signing him, despite his reputation.

    5. His father has already stated his desire to play in Spain, and all the publicity about the biting gives clever little Luis another excuse to blame the media in wanting to move away from the premier league.

    6. Liverpool are in a dilemma. If they keep him, they run the risk of being hounded by the English press, but if the sell him, the fans won't forgive them

So there we go, maybe the obnoxious little rat planned the bite anyway. After all, he has plenty to gain from it.

Clearly not as much as you Sisu, otherwise you wouldn't be loitering on the United board. Or maybe I touched a nerve that cute little Luis won't be at Liverpool next season

I doubt it tbh, it's the WC after all and he's playing for his country. If there is one thing we do know about Suarez he will do everything he can for his country to help them win. He is happy to cheat if he has to. I can't see him planning to deliberately get himself suspended at the expense of Uruguay, it makes no sense to me.

My opinion is that the guy is a lunatic who can't control his temper when things are going against him. Chiellini was playing a blinder against him, and Suarez lost his cool for a split second. I'd imagine Suarez is pretty upset, not because he's sorry for what he's done, as the guy has no morales, but upset about the consequences that are likely to come his way.

I don't believe this incident will help Suarez get his dream move away from the dippers, it will actually hinder it, as neither of the 2 Spanish giants will want to buy him now he's gonna have a long suspension:biggrin:

    He didn't plan it.

The bloke is just a nutter on the pitch. Although I'm sure Sisu will tell you how lovely he is off the pitch <ok>

Good point King Shergar, but I still have doubts about his loyalty, even to Uruguay. But, as the press are saying, if his ban ONLY applies to international games, the Luis has got what he wants.

The YSB's will be forced to sell, at a reduced price, and off he goes to Barca or Real. If this is the outcome, there is only one winner. so the 3rd bite gets him his dream move, and a massive weekly pay rise.

I tend to ignore Sisu, KingEric07, as he talks total drivel.

To be honest, if he gunpowder for brains, I doubt it would even blow the top of his hoodie off

I don't think the racist is that clever to have thought this through like that.

To me he is like an animal with barely suppressed nasty natural instincts. Once he felt provoked, he just couldn't prevent himself from retaliating. And rather than kick or punch, he thinks biting is more subtle. He jumped on the guy's shoulder and fell as if elbowed. That was really sneaky. He did the same thing with Ivanovic and pretended to be the victim.

His ungratefulness to the English is also quite astonishing. Most foootball pundits last season praised him to the rafters last season. the press gave him the FOTY award too. And when he scored England to kick this country, he gloated and said he had taken revenge on the English. For what? giving him these awards? giving him too much praise? opposition fans were bound to give him stick but did he expect adulation?

He is trying to cut his bridges with England. Whether it is a deliberate ploy or not remains to be seen. I cannot see him returning to the RS next season no matter what happens...<laugh>

    He's a Vampire FFS.

It's that simple, the guy was losing energy and needed some blood. He didn't manage to break the skin, so his energy level's completely drained towards the last couple of minutes.

If he doesn't get a club game ban, then I don't see why his transfer few should be reduced. The likes of Real and Barca have very little morales either, all you have to do is watch an episode of El Classico to see that. They certainly won't be put off because he likes to bite people. It's the same with Liverpool they are a side with very few if any morales, a side that throughout history has tarnished the English name. They really will not be fazed by keeping a player like Suarez, it's really no big deal to a club that has sunk a lot lower than this in the past

I really don't see him being that devious or calculating. He's not a bond villain! More like a henchman, really. The Oddjob of football but, instead of throwing his steel rimmed hat, he throws his preternaturally large canines at the opposition!

I honestly expect El Vampiro del Anfieldo to participate in El Classico next season.

Of course we ****ing will. What gives you the right to say what we will or won't forgive? Most of us want the stupid twat gone now, provided we still get a decent deal.

When one is suffering psychosis they assume something is fackt if they believe it strongly enough, this is usually a result of limited human contact. weararedbonnet is off his nutter

I did think this bit was odd. If he's sold then it's perfectly understandable for anyone. I would think maybe even Donga doesn't blithely put this one down to his 'culture'.

No, but some on their board are trying to make the 'Rooney granny shagging' and 'Giggs sister in law' comparisons to ease their pain <ok>

Whatever makes their tears taste sweeter <ok>

I think Suarez' problem is he has almost a split personality. Seems to be a nice guy off the field, but a nutter on it. Most of the nutters are like Keane - psychos on and off the pitch, so they learn to deal with the red mist better and just shout or foul rather than go over the top (most of the time anyway). But Suarez doesn't seem to be able to deal with it at all, so it comes out as biting, hair pulling or the Evra incident.

Reminds me a bit of Shearer - always looked like off the pitch he wouldn't say boo to a goose, but then on the pitch he would suddenly elbow people or stamp on someone's face.

I wanted him gone after the last bite... I wanted to sell him all summer.

... he won me back over during the year... he played so well AND was well behaved all season long. I thought he had changed this year... obviously not.

    Who? and Where?

Keane is a better example of a complete arsehole who didn't get the punishment he deserved. Giggs was never a dirty footballer. Just a dirty fella off the pitch.

  20. One slight overview here, the bite happened whilst wearing a Uruguay shirt, not a Liverpool one.
