I know people are for the idea of moving on fletcher, I personally would like to see him stay and play along side wickham.

Before his injuries and loss of confidence he was superb for us.

I'd like gus to get him back on board mentally and with a good pre season behind him, we will have a deadly combo of wickham and fletch IMO.

Everyone seems to forget his first season here, where he was ruthless in front of goal. He may of gone off the boil, but get him back on board mentally and physically and we have a great strike partnership on our hands next season.

With the formation we play, don't we play a lone striker flanked by 2 inside forwards though?

Attitude is everything in a footballer, Fletcher's attitude in the 9 months or so stinks. If he could sort that out and get back to how he was....I agree with you

    It's an opinion.

If it was based on evidence I'd have posted the evidence/link/source.

No one plays 4-4-2 anymore and both those are lead the line forwards in a 4-3-3.

I loved Fletcher but I feel his attitude stinks and hes made of wet cardboard. Id sell Fletcher Graham and Scocco and bring in Somone in the Hernandez mould to compliment Connor and Jozy.

Sure Whickham played a similar role to Borini at times when he was with Ipswich so may be used in that capacity. If fletch gets a good pre-season under his belt hopefully we will see a resurgance.

To keep: Whickham - Yes, Fletcher - No.

Wow, never thought I'd have said that a year ago!

Given what is at the club, those 2 are the top 2 forwards by far.

We don't play two up top anyway. Sorry but as far as Fletcher goes I don't see where he's worth the money we played for him. He scored 11 goals upfront in his first season, Borini managed 10 goals in his first season and spent most of his time on the left. Even Conner boasts 7 goals in 18 games for us last season.

Just don't see how the lad is worth the 12million we laid out for him let alone him walking into the starting line up.

Well out of Wickham, Altidore and Graham, there would only possibly be Wickham ahead of him. imo.

Well Graham will be nowhere, and we're probably stuck with Jozy for at least next season but I agree. Still don't think he's worth the money. I didn't want to use last season against fletcher because of his injuries but frankly he looked out of his depth playing our new style. He can't pass and didn't seem comfortable with the ball being played into his feet, he didn't look interested in making himself available to receive the ball. Fact is Com I wouldn't lose any sleep if we managed to off load the 3 you mentioned, Especially the one who cost more than the other two put together. it's 23 million pounds worth of ****e. Bought in by ****e managers and DoF.

This is the problem and I agree with your post.

Fletcher seems to know that he's now out of his depth if Poyet plays a game where attackers are meant to involve themselves in the play.

He's a finisher with his feet and head but has little else, if his goals dry up then he looks like a 3rd division player.

Oh i agree, a fit on form Fletcher is an asset, an unfit or not interested Fletcher is a liability.
