I think you'll find that if he was good enough he would get in the team and he would at least have one cap by now. He doesn't score many and doesn't assist many, pretty unimpressive signing!
Yes I do know the meaning! Fabregas is way better that this nobody that you are spending big bucks for!
Clearly you don't. Come back next season. You'll have had the chance to actually see him play then. Right now you don't have the first clue about what you're bleating.
I've already seen him, doesn't impress me at all. I don't think you've seen him yourself if you did you would be telling us what he adds to the united midfield but you don't because you have no idea.
He adds strength, technique, passing ability and drive. Just what we need. He's technically gifted but isnt a natural number 10. Hes better as a number 8 as hes not so much a provider than the guy who makes things tick. Credited as dominating barcelona when theybwere actually good a few yeara back as well as ourselves in euripa. Highly rated as stated. Im sure eatmyhole is confusing his with Hector herrera.
Who is this prick anyway? I do love discussions with people who use 'because I say so' as their argument. **** off to cubs or something more your level.
Basing any argument about someone not being in the Spain squad when they pick the likes of Torres who hasn't been even a mediocre player in 4 years really doesn't seem like a sound reason to write some one off. Few things I remember from when we almost signed him last year. One, I remember him stating he was extremely to join United before it fell through, so I'm assuming he might just be a fan of the club and that's why we pipped Barca to his signature. I also remember there was a poster who who pop up every now and again who was from Bilbao, believe his name was Dexter. He had said that Herrera was more integral to the team than Javi Martinez was a few years ago as he was the engine and guy who did the dirty work. Assuming that's true, that's exactly what we need. I for one am extremely excited by the signing, and hopefully we can grab 1-2 more midfielders this summer, and we'll see a very much improved side than what we've seen in the past few years.
Manchester United are likely to announce the signing of Athletic Bilbao's Ander Herrera tomorrow for £28m. (BBC Sport)
He'll be getting 90k a week - http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...hester-uniteds-ander-herrera-transfer-3755773
Hi Mano...was indeed me. I have lived a lot in Bilbao throughout my life but am actually only 25% Basque! Ander is an excellent signing and gutting for us to lose him since we only play Basque players. He will be impossible to replace with a CL qualifier on the horizon. He can play defensively or offensively and is an excellent reader of the game, tackler and a supreme passer. He is like Carrick only better in all facets. Our best player currently by some distance is Aymeric Laporte,a 19 year old CH who has it all and the best talent i have seen in that position for a very long time.He is French Basque and therefore doesn't nave such a bond to the club. This guy is the real deal...his buy out is â¬42 but thats a bargain. Btw guys Ander was never on the radar of Barcelona and never considered such a move...tabloid tosh. Good luck to Ander and you guys next season
El Correo say Herrera contributing €4m from future Manchester United salary to help deal go through.
Not seen much of the lad but apparently he's very highly rated. Man Utd look to be in for some very good players this year (Robben has been suggested!). Can't see you finishing outside the top 4 this season, especially with Van Gaal in charge as he's a class act.
Agreed, if we can 3-4 players in before the start of the season, i can see us challenging for the title.
I wouldn't put it past Van Gaal at all. Obviously, top four should be the aim, having finished 7th last season, but with the right signings -- I think you have the right man at the helm -- I would say you'll be up there with a strengthened City and Chelsea side. I'd like to think we'd be up there, too, but it depends on many factors (signings and Suarez mainly!), and I'm not overly optimistic at the moment.
