Sequester looks very interesting for Lanigan at Beverley, she showed some promise last year in maidens won by decent fillies and ran a nice race on handicap debut first time this season at Lingfield, getting outpaced off the bend before running on quite well. A couple have come out and won from that race and it looks as though the step up in trip should suit her, she probably needed the run coming from this stable so I would expect her to be fitter here and id be disappointed if she wasnt a step up from this field. There has been money for her and Lanigan has a good record at the track.

Chicken curry soup and a small salad. 6/10.

Not that hungry at lunchtime as the Italian lad in my team bought home made birthday cakes into the office - including a Tiramisu. Never before have I felt inebriated after a piece of dessert. Absolutely fantastic.

Beef stew and dumplings (well it is Tuesday!). 7/10. Was a tad too salty and as usual the carrots were cut too thickly.

I say where are all the pinstickers, today?!? Are they all as shocked as yours truly by the title of the selling hurdle at God’s own racecourse this eve (8.10) and have collapsed in a heap?!? - ‘David Chillery Still Celebrating His Divorce Selling Handicap Hurdle’! Very chavvy and uncalled for.

Alternatively, are they all out purchasing all the mega reduced England World Cup memorabilia. On the football meanwhile I’m Shocked with a capital ‘S’ that self proclaimed ‘Saint’ Steven Gerrard has dared to doubt the word of old boy ‘Arry Redknapp! Unbelievable 'Arry is honesty personified.

Good luck to those who are wagering today.

I do wonder if this David Chillery is in actual fact in bits re his divorce and is actually sponsoring the race to put on a brave face and convince people otherwise. I say that’s a piece of serious psychoanalysis there, methinks.

Possibly a double-negative type attempt to win the fair maiden back? The mind boggles..........................

Costa Rica win plus red card in crucial Uruguay/Italy game 15-1 or England draw plus red card in Uruguay/Italy game 13-1. Surely one of these will come in. England reserves v the 2 wins out of 2 Costa Ricans (9 starters from the Italy game). So much at stake in the other game and I can see the losing team "losing it". Good bets I think.

For a team that has never played together 5-6 on is a complete joke of a bet I'm sorry to say.

Cheers Badger, today was the day.

Bondi Beach Babe is a name to remember, handicap debut there, she stayed on nicely at the end and she is a full sister to the same connections Bondi Beach Boy who similarly had 4 runs before going from 46 to 82 winning 7 races in 3 months. She looks like 6f might be her trip and its a matter of time before she starts rattling off wins in the north.

It looks like Suarez has been up to his old tricks again, an opponent leaves the field with bite marks yet again. How many times will he be able to get away with this.
