    Blimey Barney...revolution!!

Is the Duke value for money?...hard to say as I quite like the chap..readily prefer the Royals to poor people.

How much did we fork out for Captain Hewitt's love child?

Pea and Ham soup (well, a sort of German version of it). 4/10.

Here's an interesting question for you all: In the "value for money" stakes, who rates higher? The Monarchy or Politicians? Queenie & co get my vote every day. Show me a worthwhile politician and I'll show you my arse.

Isn't that similar to asking "who is going to win the World Cup, England or Spain?"

No stick - but it sounds like it could be.

To remember this character you would need to have been around in the late seventies (which I was but only as a small lad), although re-runs can be seen regularly on cable and sky channels. Louis De Palma is????

Good shout Bob, brought a smile to my face this morning when I saw that horse.

Danny DeVito created a great character in Louis De Palma in Taxi and was only possibly upstaged by one, this being the great Jim Ignatowski played by Christopher Lloyd. It also featured Andy Kaufman as Latka who was lauded as a genius of comedy but in truth I am never quite sure about, at times I could see what they meant but not always. He was the guy who after a show at Carnegie Hall took out the audience for cookies and milk in 24 buses. Genius or not his life story makes good reading.

I understand upwards of £3million has now been placed on this horse tonight. Continues to drop in price. Now 5-4.

Cracking test match at Headingley..all three results still very possible.

England 6/4,SL 5/4,draw 3/1...flat surface but Sri Lanka have a cracking spinner...seventh currently in the world bowling rankings.

    Anyone having a punt?

Good luck mate I hope it wins for you. Highly doubt £3m has been wagered on it though.

Any idea who is behind it ? seems a huge gamble. It would not need be a great horse to land such a race that's for sure. My other question is how can such sums be taken on one horse? surely limits online would be imposed, shops would obviously restrict which leaves the only open market as betfair, on which a total of £77k has been matched on the entire race thus far. I just had a look on 365 and they would take £2000 online still, £3 million however is a huge sum. Are their any multiples in the style of Barney C?

    It will make interesting watching.
