    How about Giggsy!

Ok so he's Welsh but that shouldn't exclude him!

Giggs would reappoint Terry is captain- and the two of them would go off plundering all the wags.

Personally, I don't see much distinction between Welsh and English... and in all honesty- there's probably not a Welshman out there without a drop of English blood, nor an Englishman without a drop of Welsh blood. The main difference, besides one group has a "secret language" that very few of them really speak... and usually only speak it to insult the other group behind their back... is that:

If an Englishman gets caught with a sheep he's a pervert.
If a Welshman gets caught with a sheep it's considered respecting his heritage.

Welsh or English- either is equally "home grown" to me.

    the question i have is;

why do you think welshmen get "caught" you'd surely think its so common that it'd not be considered getting caught at all

Rafa would be a boring assed England manager and it would be a 10 mil a year appointment but at least he'd drop the **** utd players

England would qualify for the final Greek style!

Proves he can make do with other peoples teams and get more out of them than the previous manager.... maybe that's exactly what England need given the players are normally exactly the same from each tournament <ok>

so a man of 340+ years experience as a coach and a major tournament under his belt admits he underestimated what it takes to prepare for the demands of a world cup... in short that's pathetic.

everyone and his mother knows losing the first game = disaster at any tournamnet... ffs england have long experience of it. you do not lose your first game PERIOD... you actually make an actual plan both how to score and how to deal with the oppositions one playmaker... FFS if you took a donkey like jones he could mark pirlo all game cos pirlo is that slow.

you don't take garry pundit neville as your back room staff... and the list goes on and on.

  14. Bit harsh to pin that one on him IMO since we actually played well against Italy.

oh did we.. or did we just play better than expected/ better than hodgosn side ought to as really italy will be found out as average at best from this tournament and the preceding build up and we threw in two goals via not marking up properly.

  16. Or your expectation levels are simply too high...

Have to agree with mito here, we weren't that good against Italy-we were just not completely crap.
It's not having too high a level of expectation to expect that group of players to have a decent stab at getting out of that group if managed properly.
I honestly don't know why we Liverpool supporters even bother to try and analyse this. We sacked Roy, not because we thought he was ****, but because he was ****. We told everyone else he was **** but they laughed at us, tried to make out we were using him as a scapegoat for our own deficiencies and were being harsh on him. Now look at them.
He's a decent mid-table manager, anything above that and he's clueless. We all knew that.
