I'd like him here and think he would be effective for us. Watched him a few times last season and he held the ball up like a beast and linked well with the other forwards. Put some pace around him he would be an asset

I think realistically we are going to have to be grateful for anyone we bring in. We are a mid-table, ambition free club with a pi$$pot manager and an even worse owner. If we get the likes of Gomis, Lasogga, or whoever, then we're going to have to remain upbeat, support them whatever.

Aye man, that's it. To be fair we have bought some good players when we actually did bother buying anyoine. It just never feels like a team because of fat mike having no intention of building and at worst selling our best player when we were in the mix

You think that's going to happen? Except for couple of seasons in my lifetime, that has never happened.

I think we're just symptomatic of football. Soul is dying if not already dead, ambition all but gone. The powers that be don't care, they make money here, if football dies then they'll fck off and make money elsewhere.

Absolutely spot on ACS. We can't afford to mess about. Right now we basically dont have a striker and last time I checked we are not exactly capable of playing like barcelona.

    hahaha.

The fat twat is meant to have balls of steel... time for him to prove it.

If I were Charnley I'd start to get tough now.

That way, any players will think twice about trying to take the piss.

**** em off... and move on.... that's what I say.

Its a lovely thought but it does involve you actually having an intention of signing anyone and spending money. They need to drag these out so they can say "well we clearly tried you bunch of rampaging heathens" I look forward to Pardew beign wheeled out to put a brave face on the whole affair

Pardew "Lee has worked tirelessly to try and make it happen. That's football, you don't always get what you want................"
Reporter jumps in "But Alan, you never do, is that not worrying"
Pardew "I don't have to stand here and answer these questions, Mike says you're all barred forever. Na na, Na na na"

Chance would be a fine thing. The work experience kids passing themselves off as journalists these days only care for rumours and headbutts.

We just can't compete with the likes of Swansea and their financial clout.

Let's be honest, he isn't that great and why's he going to Swansea? Because he's motivated purely by money. I wonder if Bony is moving on.

Injured for the start of the season. I'm sure we'll sign someone up front but whether they are quality or not is a different matter.

We already have signed one and we might get lovenkrands

It amazes me you actually think we'll buy anyone to be honest. Are you a fish? I'm beginning to think you are all fish.

I refuse to accept any criticism of the club around Gomis. Double standards, no-one seemed bothered about him coming and there's not one direct quote ever saying we were interested. Glad he's not here.

    This.

Barely one person has said they want Gomis so to then criticise the club due to the fact he's going to Swansea is just odd.

General concensus was he's chasing the money, is approaching 30 years of age and has barely had one prolific season in France in the last 8 years. For me he was a last resort for the club and the fact he's not coming is a bullet dodged.

Mike isn't stupid, he knows we need strikers so therefore we'll get some. I personally think Aubamayeng will be our top target in this department. We've scouted him extensively and with Dortmund signing Immobile he's now available at the right price.

No point slating the club for a lack of signings, most clubs are yet to do any business. We'll do our business in good time.

Ah, I did not know the Immobile had been signed by BD, that is potentially good news.

I also don't subscribe to the belief we can't sell the club sufficiently to attract good players. Debuchy came as an established and credible player, Sissoko came for a song, Cabaye came. Even if we sell the club to someone like PEA as "right, we're not going to be in the CL, but you'll get tonnes of game time, tonnes of exposure and be loved by our fans more so than many others - just look at Antoine Sibierski" it's still selling the club, even if the aim is to sell the player on in a season or two. If Immobile has been signed, with PEA not being at the tournament may then mean we get him earlier.
