This is a joke like. If I went for a job and the man who beat me to it was ethnic then fair play, wouldn't bother me as he must have been the better candidate.

Had this been a white only application then imagine the uproar.

I'd want someone to get a job because they want it and are good, not because of skin colour. I'd feel like a cheat if I was given a job because I was white

It's a difficult one to debate given the circumstances. Looking at it from the fa maybe they've realised there isn't enough ethnic managers in the premier league ATM or coming through the ranks and want to address this. In regards to your comment about 'white only application' I think it's not an application at all, just an invite to people out there who can't afford coaching licence etc.. I could be wrong but sports will always evolve & the more participants from far and wide the better!

"The bursary programme is not about giving people coaching jobs. It is about providing an opportunity for some people from under-represented groups to achieve the qualifications and experience to challenge for coaching jobs that they would not previously have been able to do."

I think that's fair enough personally

They're trying to encourage other people other than us whites to coach and so they should. White coaches get plenty of jobs, how many black managers are there about? How many black players are there about? It doesn't add up. We might win something if we had a larger talent pool to pick from.

It shouldn't matter what colour people are.

So if your White and want to coach you have to pay those astronomical coaching fees, and if you're any other colour you can get them for free? That's ****ing disgusting!

    Its racist

Its like the labour party in our area when choosing a candidate for election would only have women on the list to encourage more women in parliament. I have nothing against women in parliament but if a man wanted to stand and he was the best candidate for my constituency that's who I would want as my MP. In other words the best person for the job not because they belong to an under represented group.

It can't be racist mate, only white folk are racist.
That's why we have the Society Of Black Lawyers, Trevor ****ing Phillips & their ilk, to keep us whiteies in check.
The SOBL is barred to white folk, what's that make it?

That's multiculturalism for you - the nearest city to where I live ( which I won't name for fear of upsetting
Smug in???) will possibly have to close some of it's free museum services because of a shortfall in funds - it's almost the same amount as they spend each year translating council documents into thirteen different languages!

I wonder what would happen if a tranny applied to be a candidate. Probably get it just based on that fact alone. Can they use both bogs?

It's just the way the world if these days.

Probably be a rent boy in every toilet in parliament, gives a whole new perspective to the old secret hand shakes that will be going on.

How about even playing field for all, and the best candidates go further regardless of colour, religion or sex. That's true equality innit?

Or height. There's a distinct under representation of dwarf's within all lines of work in this country.
