Gerrard has scored at a WC, and that's without being a striker, and a striker who had to have the whole formation changed for him to play in his favourite position. And dire as Gerrard has finished off his England career, he still hasn't missed three sitters in two consecutive WC games(including closing his eyes and hitting the crossbar from half a metre out) when he got his ****ing way.

Need to remember regardless of his England record. Gerrard is one of the best midfielders in English history and possibly Liverpool's greatest ever player. He has every club medal besides league winners and single-handedly won his club an FA Cup and a fifth CL Cup. You don't do any of that if you're a "failure". Gerrard deserves a little respect from EVERY football fan after what he's achieved and accomplished in his career to date.
