In my humble opinion, GC had a voice when a voice was needed - like him or not, he had your best interests at heart - for that I applaud him
He tried to get rid of Bates out of our club, and well he did succeed for better or worse. I say that though not to protect him, as I don't know enough about what he did to pass judgement - I don't honestly believe when he created LUST was to get a seat on the board or if he did it was because he felt he had Leeds United best interests at heart. Maybe his best interests did not match with ours, but they were decisions made with the club at heart and not his bank balance (from what I've heard). Although, I'm commenting not knowing the full story as I never really gained interest in LUST - so I'm not statementing, just simply querying your point of view.
You are more than entitled to query. Lust should have been the ideal vehicle to get fans views heard and even adopted as club policy. But as with most schemes a. Schemer turns up and corrupts it. Cooper forgot he was there to represent more than himself. Being caught spouting ****e and then just spouting more didn't help. If he had stood down eighteen months ago having been caught out lust wouldn't now be all washed up.
LUST felt to me, washed up from the start. Just a bunch of fans trying to change something, I never personally got the impression he was anything else other than a fan who tried to change things. There should never have been a LUST as Leeds fans have always been fairly united, we just needed to get rid of Bates - but everyone semt to want him to get rid of him but none of them were doing anything about it. When I have read his statements he doesn't seem to spout personal ****, just **** he had being given whilst trying to do his job. You can only work with what you are given, and as a supporters trust that is the information you are given by others. I never felt like it was a personal mission from Gary. But as I've said earlier, I never followed them enough to speak factually, it is simply opinionated bullshit I'm speaking.
