We don't do politics on here, but if we did, I'd suggest that was a very generous assessment, even if it is fair that history looks rather more kindly on him.

He ****ed up the Irish agreement and abandoned the Czech's in an agreement that should never have been signed. Churchill kept him involved, but thought he was a fanny.

That's unlikely to raise any revenue, it's even less likely than Hull Tigers was.

Probably a good idea, I probably shouldn't have posted what I did.

I think this board benefits massively from our no politics/religion rule and I should make sure I stick to it.

I was merely guessing at what Stewey was alluding to. I thought that much was fairly obvious. I wasn't suggesting our chairman actually wanted to emulate Hitler! He doesn't have enough hair for a start. (That last bit was a joke btw).

You don't need hair to look like Hitler, a marker pen will suffice.

True. Although don't even need the marker pen. There is a house that looks like Hitler and no marker pen in sight.

My mum made me look like Hitler for a court appearence when I was 16.

It's a long story, she meant well and it was almost 35 years ago, but she's not entirely forgiven.

    Brilliant, not just me then.

I was hauled up before the Beak at Brough Magistrates Court aged 15 charged with riding a push bike with no lights and brakes. Fined £15.

Got the day off school, which made it seem a fair price to me.

Still owe me Step-Dad the money.

Every time he reminds me, I quote The Likely Lads. "You'll get your money, Ferris. You'll get your money".

    The days fly by.

Not quite sure where to begin after that statement. Did your Mum dress you as any other genocidal maniacs? Maybe Stalin at a family christening.

I was fined £5 for under-age drinking and as I wasn't working at the time, I had pay off 50p a week for ten weeks(I think they took pity on me, because I looked like a 16 year old Hitler).

I should stress that she didn't put me in a uniform or anything, it was just the hair. I had a green Mohawk at the time and as my mum was a hairdresser, she decided it was a good idea to dye it black and comb it to one side.

    Hey presto, Hitler.

I used to wear a Nazi officers coat for a bit 79 80 time. My Grandad threatened me with his belt when i went to his house in it, he meant it anarl. <laugh>

That belt was 4 inches wide and about an inch thick with a huge buckle. Used to wear it unloading on the docks. He used to have it hanging on a peg in the corner, any grand kids played up and he'd start eyeing the belt. **** ourselves we did.
Stopped wearing it and flogged it after that.

That quote reminded me of a holiday my husband and I had in the Czech Republic many years ago. The "so-called" English guide knew nothing about the country, so when I sent off my "better than usual" letter of complaint to the company(needless to say I have never travelled with them since) I quoted Neville Chamberlain "he, like your guide, is a country of which you know little"
