RIP. 'Taken in their prime' is a much used phrase but at 28 and a professional sportsman, it's an apt description.

Will the World Cup do a minute's silence?

One question, its not on the web, where's your source?

A lot of spoof stuff lately, some claiming to be from Sky Sports, eg Gaza dead, Rooney going home (well he is now). Info like this if not verified only fools a fool.

If true then I'm genuinely shocked and so young, my heart goes out to Yaya, Kolo and family

They've reported it on Sky Sports news for most of the morning.

Erm....it's currently on the websites of the BBC, ITV, Sky, The Independent, The Telegraph, The Mirror, Eurosport, ESPN and even the Liverpool Echo.
