http://www.cafc.co.uk/ We start with an away trip to Brentford, and end the season at home to Brentford. A look down the fixtures shows you that there is no easy month, and actually how much tougher it looks this season.
Something odd I noticed, no fixture on New Years Day. Is this a new thing to tackle the horrendous new years hungover?
I am always wary of playing newly promoted teams oon the opening day, especially away from home. I also do not like having our first home game of the season a midweek cup match, it should always be Saturday 3pm kick off. A real tough league this season, when you consider the strength of the sides coming up from League 1 and coming down from the Prem.
Feel sorry for the Cardiff fans on Boxing Day. Whoever thought of that one can fit his brain inside a match box.
No, we end the season at home to Bournemouth. I would rather we were away to Bournemouth last game. The weather should be good and a nice weekend in Bournemouth would finish the season perfectly.
Has anyone seen the story about Leeds head coach? His previous job was 4 years at Forest Green Rovers where he was sacked last season after losing 7 of the first 8 games. Makes Peeters look like SAF.
Brentford is one of my favourite away days, haven't been to Brighton so will this year. Thankfully we don't have to wait long to go to Huddersfield.
2011, when we started at home to Bournemouth (by coincidence we had started at home to them the season before too, when they were newly promoted). Before that the last time we didn't start against a promoted side was 2006, away at West Ham.
you guys know what I mean though - we seem to always get the new boys. That said, can't believe I forgot Birmingham as that was a brilliant atmosphere.
