It's a very hard start for us, but at a quick glance, the last 8 fixtures of the season may be the key. All winnable games - On paper!!
Oh FFS, who makes up these fixture lists! It has to be a Forest fan! 4 of the likely top 6 finishers in the first 5 games! rediculous! If we had no points after 5 games, i wouldn't be surprised at all.
Very nice ending to the season though For me we have to pick up something against Everton. It will be very tough but its still winnable
You have a hard set of opening fixtures. BUT a huge bonus of having a.great run of fixtures in the last couple of months. IF your in the bottom 3 or 4 going into April I predict you WILL then grab lots of points to move well out of the relegation dog fight. We have Arsenal Liverpool Manchester United in our last 4 home games . Very hard for us IF we are in the bottom 4 going into April. Roll on March the 14th Leicester City v HULL CITY. A HUGE game for me because my Leicester City supporting friend just might make it to that game fingers crossed
The only thing i hope the first 5 games bring is a high standard for our boys to replicate during the rest of the season.
A baptism of fire for sure but what the PL is all about So exciting. On another note ( and not quite as exciting) I see Derby start at home against......rotherham! Ouch!
I don't want to start any conspiracy theories ... but ... Man U seem to have a very very VERY easy start. Man Utd v Swansea Sunderland v Man Utd Burnley v Man Utd Man Utd v QPR Leicester v Man Utd Man Utd v West Ham Seems like the powers above want to see Man U have a good start ... best for premier league business .... ?
Danny undaunted by 'tough' start ... that's the spirit ... bring it on! http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27903386
think we could pick up at least 4 points from the first five games. I think the timing of our match with Manu is bad as they will be out to bounce back after losing to dqpr and Burnley in the previous 2 matchs
Just had a good look through. Apr & May don´t look to bad (still tough but if we need a few pts for safty ???) & wouldn´t it be nice to send Queenie girl wasters down on the last day ?
I'm fairly happy to get the tough games out of the way first in order to have that good run-in. If we are near the bottom towards the end of the season, it'll give other clubs a false impression of where we are. At least I hope it will be a false impression! QPR on the last day... feels like one side will be waving off the other... but which way round?
We only have to look at Palace last season to see that early struggles don't necessarily mean anything. Tough and exciting start but couldn't ask for a better fixture list for the last two months.
We know it's going to be hard, we're going to lose a lot of games, but I can't wait! It's finally hit me that we're going to be in the top flight next year, stupid I know. Just seeing us up there with all those big names is surreal, but amazing.
