Even if Alonso is a good guy, I can almost guarantee you his agent is a ****. The agent will be touting him out to clubs, media, backsteet hoes just so he can get the best deal, then Alonso will pick. A good full back available cheap is going to generate plenty of interest, his agent will be loving it.
I rate the lad and would love to see him sign for us, but he has never been ours tp lose as we just had him on loan..Fingers crossed that he does sign, but if he doesn't I won't get hung up about it.
Well I'll tell you what Reg, I'd tell Juventus to **** right off if they don't play ball. I assume Diakite is now back with us?
Fiorentina correctly said they'd like to take a look at him pre-season and see how he has developed before any decisions are made. Alonso enjoyed it here, and openly stated he'd be open to a return. He will either stay in Florence, possible as the first choice LB is getting on, or he will sign for us. West Ham are being linked with any amount of LB's. They sent back Armero, to be fair, I'd take him, thought he was very decent, and looks even better in the national team.
http://safc.com/news/team-news/2014/june/congerton-on-transfers The Black Cats are pro-actively targeting new faces, but the considered approach is very much the way forward. “The market is out there, it’s working, people are out doing business and everything is being done behind the scenes,” said Congerton, who met with Foundation of Light supporters and corporate partners at the charity’s fixtures breakfast on Wednesday morning. “Everything’s ongoing but at the end of the day we’re in no rush. We want to sign the right players. “We don’t want to sign players for the sake of it because that can cause problems later on.” He added: “Obviously last year the club did very well with loans and we’ll go into the loan market again. “Hopefully in years to come the loan market won’t be as important as it is today and we’ll have more players provided from the academy who belong to Sunderland AFC.”
I'm not worried, we just need to keep our head down and look disinterested, we don't want a bidding war. Let them think West Ham are the only interested party, let them negotiate a cheap deal, then when the a bid is accepted match it. Bout time we let other clubs do all the graft. Let West Ham pay for his flight too.
Swansea City linked with loan move for Fiorentina's ex-Sunderland loanee Marcos Alonso http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swansea-city-linked-loan-move-7286951 … pic.twitter.com/jHwunhno91 It's starting to heat up.
Alan Nixon is chief bullshit artist for the Mirror. I wouldn't sweat it just yet, as I'm certain we're trying to get him.
