It's only a decent set of fixtures at the start if we get points from them. Sunderland, Leicester & Everton around Xmas & New Year will be good. Tough run in towards the end of the season.
just nice to see us playing every team twice again. I really enjoy the fair concept that football promotes Lots of long trips in April though. all 3 away games are 400mile+ round trips
Last six games seem too similar to Norwich's last season. Albeit with Burnley at home sandwiched between it all.
It's going to be a rough season, like last time we have the vast majority of our winnable home fixtures in the first half of the season, but they will also coincide the the Europa league this time. Which is a good thing because if it was as the other way round I could see us spending a lot of time at the bottom, going out of the Europa league and have confidence hitting an all time low. We have to be better away from home this season though, a lot better, as I can't see us managing the same haul as the first half of last season.
5 games until we meet a top6 club, that's a real opportunity to give our points per game ratio a decent head start.
Our run in is a right bastard, out of the last 7 games the only 2 'easier' fixtures are against teams we seem implode against! Palace and Burnley, plus with another glorious FA cup run, an impressive quarter finals of the europa and semis of the league cup we'll have a fixture backlog to handle too
What a great start to the season. We will not be shell shocked like last season and will have a chance of getting a few points right through until a tough October starts us attack the "bigger name" clubs. We will have had time to sort ourselves out a bit. Burnley vs Chelsea on the first weekend? Memories of twenty doom laden minutes. And then hope shone through.
Not according to the Premier League. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/clubs/profile.overview.html/hull
Agree with you, it will be vital to be safe if at all possible by the end of April, as the run in is tough.
You do wonder if this gets in the players' minds before a ball has been kicked adding a load more pressure to get points stacked up early on.
What happened to West Ham @ home ffs ? Seriously, a great start for us and get that sh.it hole out of the way whilst it is still summer. Could well be a TV game mind - even the MNF on sky ? Yes. 5 of the first six for us are very winnable. Not until Man City on 27th sept should we think about a defeat. Poor Lesta. The start from hell. (1-Everton @ home, 2-Chelsea away, 3-Arsenal @ home, 4-Stoke away, 5-Man Utd @ home). Wba have the end of the season like Norwich last season and i expect the Baggies to be going down. (1-Liverpool @ home, 2-Man Utd away, 3-Newcastle away, 4-Chelsea @ home, 5-Arsenal away on 24th may.
Totaly agree, would have been better served early, with Europa and cups will be a real challange, we need serious quality additions to see this one through. I fancy Europa group stage and League Cup trophy, exciting all the same, have faith in Brucey and the boys.
