    2.30 - That is the Spirit 14/1
3.05 - Adulation 40/1 (Quietly confident of a big run at a nice price from this one)
    4.25 - Certify 14/1
    5.00 - Abseil 11/2

yesterday was a sensational opening day of Royal Ascot and it looks another good card today.

2.30 a very competitive opener. Slight preference for the irish raider MUSTAJEEB but I am also interested in PARBOLD and THAT IS THE SPIRIT as each way chances

3.05 this is all about the Wesley Ward horse, SPANISH PIPEDREAMER. hopefully she will be as impressive as Hootenanny was yesterday.

3.45 TREVE should win but she is now far too short in what is a competitive renewal. I am hesitant about backing The Fugue first time out so I think if the french horse does get beat then MUKHADRAM is probably the most likely other winner. He was narrowly beaten in the Prince of Wales Stakes here last year.

4.25 I am keeping this simple. Two bets. INTEGRAL to win and CERTIFY each way. I am hopeful that Integral can continue progressing, whilst it must also be hoped that Certify can start to reproduce her sensational 2 year old form. It was such a shame that she missed out on her 3 year old campaign last year.

5.00 Abseil at 5/1 looks very short for the Royal Hunt Cup, especially when you consider that HERE COMES WHEN who easily beat him at Chester is 28/1. I also like the look of TRUMPET MAJOR at a big price and Ryan Moore should go close on QUEENSBURY RULES

5.35 Havent looked at this race yet but the first horse that leaps off the page is QUEEN CATRINE

Large mixed salad with a small bowl of Soljanka and a roll. 5/10.

Surprised no one has mentioned what a lovely name for a filly "L'amour De Ma Vie" is in the 4.25 at Ascot today.
