Wooo controversial topic. Imagine England, Northern Ireland, Scotland ( ) and Wales joined forces for the world cup. Could Great Britain win it? Image the team: ------------Hart-------------- Johnson-Cahill-Jagielka-Baines ------Ramsey--Gerrard------- -Sterling--Rooney---Bale----- ---------Sturridge------------ Plus the likes of Hennessey, Marshall, Ashley Williams, Naithsmith and the forever epic Joe Allen on the bench. Could this win the World Cup? I'm not saying this should happen. Because I like us being 4 rival football nations.
Thats just the England team with Bale and Ramsey thrown in. And the answer to your question is "no" Also, even with Wales, Scotland and Ireland, the best right back we can field is still Glenn Johnson!!? Guy is awful
so bascially you took two welsh players for GB... i think this really answers the question as adding just a couple to englands current lot solves nothing. the same issues at the back exists and for me 3 of the back 4 could do with replacing... and gerrard too after this WC... and then really the question is where's the real quality. no i think england need to paly more like germany... the focus on pace, tempo, intensity. we need to do this
So, by Great Britain, you mean we nick a couple of Welsh players? PS...surely someone has a better RB than Johnson!!!??!?!?!?!!
No. maybe he didnt include scotland as they are having a paddy and want to leave the glorious union of greatness? Ungrateful ****s, we made a film about them............by which I mean hollywood did and used a criminal jew hater to represent scotland. Bastards.
Englands best right back.... What options do we have? Johnson Nobody Kyle Walker Nobody a CB played as RB Nobody Nobody is a popular choice.
Why include Northern Ireland? They only player who would be anywhere near a squad like this would be Evans.
The best improvement to England would be a manager with the balls to not need to start/play Rooney. #squadplayer
Look there are SOME decent options Though I can't think of any Scottish players really... Snodgrass wouldn't displace a player in his slot Bale, Ramsey, Davies and Allen... Onlyvthe first two yeah? England's cb options are terrible but stretching to James Collins or Ashley Williams is too much Northern Ireland? Johnny Evans being names was simply obscene but there is nobody else So all in all I think a commonwealth approach would be needed and even then it'd not do it
