    France 2-0 Honduras - Karim Benzema 47'

Goal-line technology has given that one.

I am so envious, I would have loved to see one of those, or a Harpy! Away from the touristy areas Costa Rica is an awesome place.

"it wasn't over the line at one point, so it must be contentious"

Please can someone explain the rules of football to Jonathan Pearce. The ball is in play until it goes out of play. It doesn't stop being in play if it hits the post. Does he really not know that?

    Deary me.

The problem for them obviously lay with the fact they showed the replay of the post being hit - not needed.

Just show the bit with the actual goal, i.e. when the ball hit the keeper and went in. Christ.

    Pearce is an irritant.

To be fair, we didn't go to the best places in Costa Rica, so I'm sure your'e right. Nature aside, culturally Nicaragua was interesting because of the revolution, and they are quite creative and have lots of co-operatives and stuff.

Why are you saying that? It worked perfectly well, and quickly.
